That sounds like the power steering pump is making some noise when load is applied.

How would i determine if this is the reason that my car is acting like that?

Thank you for any responses

Mostly due to the sound only occurring when you turn the steering wheel.

I would say the power steering pump is either on it's way out, or you have a tensioner/serpentine belt issue.

I think that you can look at the Power Steering fluid in the reservoir to see if there are air bubbles to determine if the O ring is shot. Do a search here since there are several threads on repair and some video clips as well I think on YouTube.

Take a longer thin piece of metal and use it like a stethoscope to see which one is making the noise.

Here is a video of the O ring problem if that is the issue. Again, see if you have air in the reservoir. As you can see if this is the problem then it is an easy fix.

Good luck and let us know.
