Transmission Issue CEL P0974 Help Please!!!
Hi everybody, just trying to help a friend out. He recently just purchased an 08 TL AT. About a week ago while driving the indicator D light started flashing. At that point the car would jerk very roughly into every gear. The check engine light code was P0974 which was the shift solenoid.
We ended up replacing both shift solenoids, the one on the top and side of the transmission. We've also replaced the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches and did a tranny flush with oem fluid. The car is still doing the same thing. The car drives perfectly fine, shifts smooth, no sounds or any problems until the light comes on. Also, the flashing D light will come on, but if the car is turned off for about an hour or so it will turn off and only the check engine light stays on.
We've searched online and so far haven't come across anything else that would need to be replaced. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Not too sure if that applies to your situation, the flashing "D" kind of caught my eye and reminded me of that thread. Does any of the symptoms sound familiar to you? Take this post with a grain of salt, maybe this may help you, it may not. Maybe someone more experienced can chime in, good luck finding the cause!
