Smoke from catalyctic converter

Has anyone had smoke from front catalytic converter coming from front of engine,on an 04 acura tl.I thought it was oil coming from my valve cover and dripping down on my converter.I changed my valve cover gasket today and no oil is coming from there, but smoke is still coming right from front converter.would that be an exhaust manifold problem or catalyctic converter problem.trying to figure out where leak is from or what's burning off.

PS hose leak? There's a recall concerning the problem.
