I am having a hard time finding a solution for this particular problem here on the forum.

My back right window will roll down about half way before it makes a clicking noise and stops. I think something might be off track or lodged in the track causing the regulator to kick off to protect itself.

The window rolls up just fine though.

Does anyone have any recommendations on troubleshooting this problem?

I lubricated the window tracks and was able to get all but the last 2 inches of the window to roll down. Anyone have any other ideas?

pop that door panel off and take a look...only way you can be sure if something isnt right....makes sense to me

I don't have a problem taking the door panel off but I don't know where to look after it is off. Do I pull off the plastic lining and start poking around behind it?

Yes, so that you can visually see the tracks and if anything is binding. are the windows tinted? sometimes the glue can get the tracks a bit sticky and bind, probably just needs some lube down there

You need a new window regulator. If you keep using the window, it may get stuck open.
