My 04 tl doors wont close with either the lock button on the door nor using the remote. Any ideas what this could be?

maybe a fuse problem.
maybe a lock actuator problem.
maybe lots of things.

get in there and investigate.

+1 to what justnspace said. Until you take a look inside of the door panel, you won't be able to diagnose the problem correctly.

I had a similar problem to you that my driver's side door wouldn't lock using any switches (manually it did work for me, thankfully). In my case it was both the door actuator and the wire cable that connects to it- the plastic casing on one end of the cable had split so the cable wasn't catching anymore, preventing the lock from remaining in place whenever I used my key fob or the button on the door.

cars are like mini houses.
theres always something that needs to be fixed or looked at.

an inquisitive mind is needed to figure out what the problem is and how to solve it.

the first thing I would do; is tear into the door panel to see if the actuators and cables are actually working/connected.


or it could be a simple fuse that's burnt out
