Hello,

07 TL auto. I just installed front Akebono ACT787 pads and Centric 120.40046 rotors. The pads do not reach to the inner part of the rotors on both the left and right side of the car. These were the right part numbers. I threw out the old rotors already, but they were they same size when I matched them up before putting them on. I don't think it's just a matter of them needing to be seated. As seen in the pics, the pads don't even reach that far.

Can someone help me with this?? This was my first brake job done myself..

The brakes feel fine.. no noise, stopping power is just as good as before, maybe better.

I'm thinking maybe that's just the way it is and thats the appropriate amount of contact. The rotors could have been painted a little further up, but they probably use them for other applications.
