Clicking Noise from Clutch Pedal
Hi all,
I'm looking to buy a TL and one thing I noticed when I release the clutch is that there is a clicking noise from the clutch pedal about halfway of release.
Does this sound like it could be a big issue? I did a search but couldn't find anything on it. Does anyone know what could be causing it?
Thanks!

Guys, there's a TSB on the clicking clutch pedal.
It's very important to determine the source of the noise. If the source is actually the pedal, the TSB instructs to replace the clutch master cylinder. Does it still make the noise when the car is turned off? Put your face next to the pedal to confirm.

i had the TSB done to my TL. i had more of a squeak when pressing the clutch pedal in and the occasionally "click". it was fairly audible and could be heard with/without the engine on as well as inside and outside the car.
dealer replaced the master clutch cylinder and all is quiet again. there is some sort of pin that is just a little too long which rubs and causes the squeak (that's what i was told). the updated master clutch cylinder fixes this issue.
i'm not sure if it's the same problem as the OP, but just sharing info that might help narrow down his issue.

I can hear the click from inside the car even when the car is off and i'm just pressing and releasing the clutch pedal. So based on what you guys are telling me, it's most likely the master clutch cylinder?
Any idea how big of a job it is to replace this? What's the worst that can happen if I just leave it as is for now?
Thanks for all the help guys (and girl!)

read through most pages of that thread and doesn't look like there's a consensus on the best fix but i'll start with the cheaper options before getting into replacing parts. Thanks for all the help everyone!
