2007 Acura TL TYPE S *ENGINE KNOCKING*
I bought a 2007 Acura TL TYPE S at CARMAX about 11 months ago with 30k miles. I just recently noticed an engine knocking while accelerating between 4k to 6k RPM. This usually happens in 3 and 4 gear at almost full throtle. I have always used the same gas 91 octane at the 96 gas station. Can anyone tell me what could be happening??

could be carbon buildup on the pistons and valves
if you mean 76 gas thats a good brand, but the person before you may have used 87 octane and cheap brand- not good for the car
DIY- Seafoam or bg or several other good brands- will get rid of that buildup
when used at max dose- usually 1 can to 1/2 tank
there is a big seafoam diy thread- you can just add it to gas and get results, and direct to intake vac port for instant cleaning results
poor combustion from left behind combustion byproduct can make the symptoms you describe
another option is borrow a code reader or buy one (on sale harbor freight next week $100) You live in Ca and cant get free code scanning at parts stores due to smog laws.
With scanner you can drive with it giving on the fly readouts of all operations
Find out if its retarded timing or other issue at high rpm and load
Are you getting a CEL light?
as a tech- I would do the cleaning to get a baseline and see if that fixes the problem
How many miles now?
Pull a spark plug or 2 and see how they look- they tell all

first you should sea foam your car to clean everything, then i would go check motor mount. Is the knock really light when you are idling in park and pick up when you put in neutral hitting the gas slowly?

He has 30K on his engine!!!! It's new!!! Knock it off with this Seafoam crap. You might as well do it as soon as you buy it brand new with 0 miles on it if you do it at 30K. This is getting compltely out of control.
OP, certain TL-Ss and base models have a known knocking problem. First place to start is to boost the octane via 100 octane unleaded fuel in the tank and see if it goes away. If it does not, it's a mechanical problem. If it does, you have detonation.
