Problem: In Park, the engine idles revs up and down

I have a problem with my 02 TLS. First the tranny is slipping when the car is cold. I am going to take it back to the dealer. The tranny was just replaced two weeks ago.

But what is more wierd is that the engine revs up and down from 1000 to 1500 at about a half a Hz. Do you think this is related to the tranny even when it is in park? Torque converter maybe?

i think it is the idle boost controller...happened to mine a few years back...

idle air control valve... get it looked at.
