Replacing door handle covers on a 2005 TL

I have a 2005 TL and I just purchased the driver and passenger side door covers, they are located just behind the handle. I picked them up at the dealer and I was told that the only way to replace them is to remove the door panel. Is this true? If there is an easier way to replace them without breaking them? Does anyone know if there are any diagrams of this?

If you talking about the little piece that continued the door handle is not a problem so simple don't need to remove anything inside (Door Panels) nothing like that you just need a little flat head screwdriver that's it....

i have this same issue. it looks like it is attached by a two screws from the inside tho.

I just put mine on a few weeks ago cause it had fallen out.

If the bracket behind it is broken I suggest replacing the whole thing and removing the door panel. The door panel comes off in literally 2 mins.

This is just a piece of plastic in top of the metal part...You don't wanna remove the whole thing just the cover right...
