ABS light on 1997 CL 2.2

On my wife's 97 CL 2.2 the ABS light keeps coming on, someone recommended changing the brake fluid, is this a fix? Because I have never heard of brake fluid needing changed. :dunno:

Do a search on finding codes for your car. Under the glove box there is a blue plug with 2 outlets. If you take out that plug and close the circuit with a paper clip, then turn your key to the on position, the ABS light will blink giving you the codes for what is wrong. Search on codes to get the print out of what codes mean what. I use that feature all the time and it's great.

i think you are getting confused between the ABS and SRS light.

i agree with 97CLgenius i had a ABS light showing up and i took tat blue connector out and close it with a paper clip and counted the light on da ABS warning light... didn't find any problem but the ABS still on so i checked all the fuses and changed out the R/C MIRROR (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box, and BAM the ABS light went off

i got some info about how to erase the code got it from All Data.

" Remove the ABS B2 (15A) fuse in the under-hood ABS fuse/relay for at least three seconds to erase the ABS control unit's memory "

oh yeah that blue connector is really helpful.. you can dianostic the car with that by reading the trouble code the car may have.
