Best way to repair wheel scratch from curb?
 

i have about a 10" section of scrape from a curb...what is the best way to repair?

Yoou could try using a Dremel with a polishing head on it. It won't get rid of a deep gouge though.

If it's deep, you may have to pay for a repair. I used Mobile Wheel Repair, which has franchisees throughout the country, when my TL's RonJon Devotions needed repair, and they did a great job.

I continue to learn that the RL is a much wider car than it appears. When I pull in at a curb behind another car, I usually line myself up behind the car in front of me (as long as it is parked reasonably close to the curb). However, doing this in my RL invariably causes me to contact the curb. Fortunately, I haven't done any damage to the wheels yet as the curbs here are sloped and the tires contact them first.

I guess using the tilt down feature of the side mirrors when in reverse will help with parking and staying away from the curb, unless you parallel park front first then it won't help.

Thanks. I got that part. This wasn't from parallel parking. I was picking my wife up in front of a store and was heading directly for the front door and then made a hard left turn to pick her up. Just forgot how wide this thing turns. First time in my driving history that I have ever scraped a wheel with any car. Its the kind of scrape that if you run your hand over it you will bleed. Need to just get it repaired somewhere. Thanks.
