FREE XM Radio

For a limited time I get FREE XM radio on my RDX. Not sure if this is an Acura promotion or an XM Radio promo. But, I checked my Acura messages (Tech pkg) and one of the newest msgs was FREE XM until like the first week of Dec. Hopefully this works for fellow RDX owners.

I think it is only free for 90 days.

This is only if you purchase a new Acura correct? I received this discount when I bought my Acura in 2008.

what kind of discount did xm offer you after the 90 days free?
I have to admit the xm has some good music than the standard fm.

There was a flyer in the mail for the two week holiday promotion. You can extend it for another 5 months for $20. It sounds very tempting and I might just do it.

I just bought a Certified '08 RDX, and the dealer called XM for me and got me 90 days "trial" free (of course, after 1 day, I'm hooked ). I believe this was or is a standing Certified Acura deal.

I know from my friend's experience as an on-again, off-again XM subscriber that they periodically run promos where they turn your XM on again for a few weeks to tempt you into re-subscribing.

What ever you do, DO NOT give them your credit card or they will automatically renew at full price when contract is up, have them mail the bill.

I was due for renewal at the regular price today...I called them to cancel and they tried to get me to stay off course....they offered me the $20 deal, but I rejected it along with some other offers because it didn't include XM online and best of Sirius...finally the person asked, "what ($$) would make you stay?" I said, give me the same deal as last year, I want to pay $99 (or as close to it as possible) for EVERYTHING!! XM, best of Sirius and XM Online....They said that the best they could do was $101 for the 12 months. After fees and taxes ends up being like $145, which I think it's pretty good.

Have it free for 3 months as well on my 2011. I would like to extend it after the free 3 month trial but not looking to spend what they have for regular subscription pricing hope that I can get a deal on the subscription when it comes for renewal. Does anyone know what kind of deals Canadian XM subscribers are getting now a days?

Good to hear Acura does something good for their customers! But they should extend it a little longer :p

Doesn't Ford give you 1 year of Sirius?

+1 on that! Also, if you have given them your CC info, call (more than once) to make sure that your account has been updated to "bill by mail". I had done that $77/yr. promotion and wanted it cancelled at the end of my year, but after calling to change to "bill by mail" so it wouldn't renew, I had to call back 2 times to find out both times that it was never changed. Finally, I automatically got charged at the end of my year, and there were numerous phone calls to fix that problem, too.
