Track Day 1984
Got this idea from another forum, but thought you guys would like it here too.
The year is 1984. Its track day. Pick a car manufactured between 1971 and 1984 to take to the track. Easy mode: Italian/German Medium mode: Japanese Hard mode (if you don't know your cars) : American Gentlemen, its first come first serve at the grid and there are only 30 spots here today at Laguna Seca. Here's my pick what's yours: KPGC110 Skyline GT-R http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3.../buta-gc10.jpg |

Terry stole mine!
This is hard. I realize there wasnt much in the era in which i would pick. Kinda makes me think we are blessed with what cars are on the market today. BMW M1 then. Or more reasonable, the Audi Quattro. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...x-BMW_M1_1.jpg |
I think i'm going to be seeing allot of blue flags.

Sorry! You can have my second choice if you like: 1984 Mustang SVO. http://il.youtube.com/watch?v=L8L3vCvagBc I've had two, and they were very competent cars when raced. Terry |

1984 Porsche 911 Turbo
http://www.motoringinvestments.com/images/C88_TL/lf.jpg One of my favorite cars from high school....was in 10th and 11th grade during 1984. I lived in Germany during all of high school and was all about the German cars then. |

Fourth choice would be Mazda RX2: http://www.rx7club.com/picture.php?a...ictureid=20612 |

 at Ken1997TL's pick that was funny.
And Mattg, that was my dream car when I was like 5-6yr old. My step-uncle had a poster of a Countach in his bedroom and at that age I had never seen anything like it. |

See I know classics, but I dont know them. I wanna read about them though. Its just keeping up with todays and futures cars is already a handful, and not having the luxury of being alive when those cars came out is just a hassle. |

I thought I was king of the smart asses with the Runabout, but you have both bested me with these fine choices. (Standard 3-speed manual) http://yoursmiles.org/tsmile/rulez/t2015.gif
http://yoursmiles.org/tsmile/rulez/t2025.gif  I wasn't being a smart ass though. I figured a 2900-3000 lb short wheel base car with a v8 would be a kick to drive (slightly modified if I can). Plus parts for a 14 year old car that was produced nearly a decade should be dirt cheap if I break anything. If it weren't for the easymode /hard mode thing I would be looking at a 2002 or early 3 series. |
Lotus 7

Ford GT40 :woot: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...t_Goodwood.jpg |
:rulez:
I was gonna say GT40 too, but the guidelines were from '71-84 |
