hopefully just a dead battery... you should take the battery to get tested.

also.. welcome to Acurazine. you are in the 2nd Gen forums (99-03).. your 04 TL belongs in the 3rd Gen Forums(04-08).. they can probably get to the root of your problems a bit quicker then we can.

Probably a battery. The batteries Acura uses are nortorious for failing. Like was mentioned above, I'd get the battery tested.

it's probably the HFL sucking the battery dead...

alternator

Yeah its the battery,I had the same problem, the dealer switch it out twice.....also the 04-05 TL's the navi drains the battery a whole lot quicker! Anyways brought a premium battery from Autozone and haven't had a problem since!

new battery n get the computers updated there were some updates that shut down some of the power drain sources that werent needed.

The dealer has checked it twice and can't find a drain when the symptoms (no outside temp and no phone icon) aren't present. It happened with a new batery and they claim to have checked both the alternator as well as all the things that draw down the current
after you shut the key off.
I haven't been able to get it to the dealer when the symptoms occur -2 hrs away.

Do you know if they checked the HFL? Here is the TSB:

They said they checked it. The TSB referres to 07 and 08. TSB 05-029 describes my symptoms exactly, but only apples to the 05 model. My habd free link does work, it is just the icon that disappears
