External transmission filter source

Came across an aftermarket filter source for less if anybody needs one. Typed 25450-P7W-003 in Amazon to see what happened:

Anybody ever used one of these?

Thanks for sharing. Good to know there is an alternative option.

Is this filter mounted on the driver side of the trans in a canaster?
If not were is the best location to add ann external filter?

Thanks, Kevin

This external atf oil filter is for 00+, it is next to the oiljet where the aft stick is, on the driver's side.
very easy to replace with a 10mm, I think, offset tool, and an adjustable wrench.

ya know..this got me thinking.
after i got my tranny rebuilt by the wrong type of person last year, i never thought to think if my external oiljet kit, which was installed during recall period, was still/left on there :what:

is this something that can easily be seen w/o taking anything out /and/or dropping tranny to check?

External oiljet kit and external aft oil filter are two different things. If your tranny was rebuilt by a private shop, chances are they replaced the internal parts and re-used the casing with the external oiljet kit intact. Acura most likely to repace the whole casing with an internal oiljet. you should be able to see the external oiljet kit by looking down where the air intake is, in front of the brake fluid.

This one is oiljet
