Handsfree Link Problems

Handsfree link is great but I think mine is faulty. When I get a call in the car and I dont want the other passengers to hear my conversation I like to answer the call directly from the phone. Exactly every other time (50% of the time) my car answers the phone when it's not supposed to. I accept the call from my handset and sometimes the car intercepts it when I dont want it to. Half the time my phone picks up, and half the time the car picks up. My newest phone is not on the acura website list, but my previous phone was on the list and it had the same problem. So I dont think the phone is the problem.

Has anyone else had this problem?

It does sound like it's your phone. What I mean by this you need to check your "car settings" or the like, from Auto Answer = Off and Auto Handsfree = On.

Also if your phone isn't supported, good luck with it even working properly.

yea sounds like auto answer on (while connected to bluetooth) is enabled, go to call settings and check that out. let us know if it helped.

I cant figure out how to get to the auto answer on/off toggle in the HLF. Would you happen to know what menu it is in?

The auto answer setting would be on your phone. Remember, it's your phone that is doing everything. HFL is just a fancy bluetooth speakerphone.
