2006 Acura RL Hands Free Link Locked - New Owner
 

Hello:

My father is a new owner of a 2006 Acura RL. The Hands Free Link (Bluetooth) is locked and there is no code to be found in either the manual or with the dealer (non-Acura dealer). Does anyone know how to reset the code so the HFL can be used?

Try this option for clearing the HFL system:

It's supposed to reset the passcode. If that doesn't work you may need to take it to an Acura dealer.

Thanks for passing this along. I believe this will only clear the numbers and passcode after you enter the original password to get into the system. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I will pass this along to my father and hopefully it works. If not, he may have to have a dealer clear it...

I don't recall any passcode for HFL. You set a passcode for a particular paired phone, but nothing for the system or am I totally forgetting.

one more thing - make sure he is pressing the right button. There are 2 voice buttons, one for voice commands, one for HFL.

You can set a passcode for the system itself. Once when I had a loaner from the dealer I tried to pair my phone to the HFL and the system had been locked out using a passcode.
