2005 Acura TL Blinking "D" and Engine Check Light

Take it easy on me guys, I read several threads already about the blinking "D" and it most likely being the transmission sensors.

My question is, are most people have the symptom of transmission not switching to 5 gear until around 50mph? Our 2005 TL has been doing that ever since we had the Acura dealership change the fluids.

Also not only is the "D" blinking but our engine light has come on. Both happened at the same time. Are most people getting both the blinking "D" and engine light? Or is it usually just the blinking "D" by itself?

Any help would be great! I want to do this myself! Thanks!

I was messing with my speakers two days ago and I accidently drilled through two wires that cause some fuses to blow and triggered the check engine light to appear. When I was replacing the fuses I forgot to replace one and it caused the D light to blink. Therefore I had both the engine and tranny lights going crazy. But It went away after fuses were replaced and after I reseted the engine code that appeared.

Well I filled the gas up this morning and made sure the gas cap was completely tightened. Came home and disconnected the battery for 2 hours. Hooked it back up and all the light are gone. Drove around, washed car, got some Chipotle and still no lights on!

We just had the trans flushed 2 months ago! I'm crossing my fingers and hopefully they wont come back on!

Take it back to acura and have them fix the blinking. They forgot to plug the sensors back in. It should only take a few minutes. I just had this happen to me when I rebuilt my transmission.
