Trunk won't open anymore :(

Yesterday, I tried to open my trunk and it won't open.

I tried
- lifting the trunk door open (usually opens because it detects my key nearby)
- pressing and holding on the trunk button on my key
- tried pressing on the driver's door trunk button

Nothing...

Anyone know what I can try before I schedule an appointment at the dealership?

Is the trunk open feature turned off?

Check the switch in the glove box. That is a valet feature, if I recall, you lock the glove box with a key and give them the remote only.

1) Check your fuses....

I think 20A on the interior fuse box manages the power locking.

2) Also, is the VALET switch engaged in the Glove Box?

3) Try this test....will the trunk close with the fob in the trunk? If it does, it is the fob / transmitter.

!!! Have the second fob handy to open the trunk if it does !!!

tampa - not to be critical, but how does he close the trunk with the fob inside if he cannot get it open

He can throw it in through the rear pass through. Of course, if he can't open it, oh well, you just threw it through the pass through!

Don't forget there is an emergency truck opener that can be pulled from the pass through. It is a yellow looped wire.
