Does any know hot to get rid of Cigarette burn out of head liner.
I bought the car used and the guy that had it before me put four cigarette burns in the headliner. I was wondering if there is an easy way to fix this or do I have to replace the whole thing. I have two burns on the headliner, one on the driver side sun visor and one on the sunroof shade. Any help would be great.

Are they through the headliner or just superficial? On carpets, I cut some fabric (the fuzzy stuff, not the whole thing), fill the burn with glue and sprinkle the fabric cuttings on top of it. I'm not sure if this would work for the headliner because it's a very short pyle. Maybe you could remove the A pilar covering and cut a piece behind that, then carefully cut out the burns and make plugs with the piece you cut out.

The burns are all the way through the fabric. When you look at the burns you can see the foam underneath the fabric.

You could have Acura install a new headliner, or have an auto upholstery shop recover it in the matching fabric. Shouldn't be too much?

or you could stop smokin in your car http://www.acura-tl.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

i called one of the local shops in my area and they'll just replace the holes...they are really good from what i hear...they said $30 a hole but that probably doesn't help you...

This is something you can do yourself. OF course, it involves removing the headliner from the car, removing the material from the backing, and then spray gluing a new piece. Not really a hard project if you are even a wee bit handy http://www.acura-tl.com/ubb/smile.gif
