How does your motor oil smell?
 
Do you guys have this gassy sweet smell? or is it just my car...

me personally, i dont smell my oil, but whenever i have changed it, it doesnt smell sweet, but it doesnt smell gassy either... it just smells like oil

The last time I changed my oil it smelled gassy.

who are you??? not to be crass but some of the stuff you've recently posted has me scratching my head.

Oil should smell a bit sweet.. and for many.. should taste a bit sweet too, but I didn't tell you to try. If it smells burnt or like fuel then you have problems or you're beating on your engine. It should look ember, if it looks burnt, sludgy or milky.. :ugh:

That's awesome.. I once opened up the cap and it was the opposite.. it was so bad it was like lost and condemned souls were pushing out.. I used the force and contained them back into the pits of the engine. Glad it wasn't my car.. lol.

Mine smelled gassy too, but it had just eaten a plate full of cheese, cabbage and beans the night before.
