How to install cabin filter in 2012 Acura TL

1. Open the glove box. Remove the glove box separator (A) by carefully pulling it straight back.
2. Remove the dust and pollen filter assembly (A) from the blower unit.
3. Remove the filter (A) from the housing (B), and replace the filter.
4. Install the filter in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the blower unit.

I don't see pictures if you were referring to (a) and (b) as them

Pictures did not copy, just follow written instructions, you will have no problem

Easier than I thought - Cabin Filter Install

You actually do not need pictures to install a new cabin filter into the 2012 Acura TL. You just pull out the glove box divider ( the shelf in the glove box), and the filter presents itself for removal. I was quoted a price of $90 to have the dealer do the job - I bought an OEM filter from a Boston dealer (Bernardi ACURA Parts) for $26.63 and installed it in about five minutes. The hardest part of the job was emptying the glove box. Thank you slickjem.

Pohanka Acura in VA wants $174.95 to replace the air filter and cabin filter. I'll just do it myself. Thanks for the post.

I generally use OEM parts for everything but not in this case. The Acura/Honda cabin filter is toooooo expensive ($38+ list, $26+ via online). My recommendation is Purolator for about half the price at local stores. But the cabin filter is not a critical item so I assume any brand will do.

I used the Purolator one for about 15.00. You need to give a good pull to get the glove box separator out, just make sure you pull it straight out.
