Nothing new????
#522
Nothing new to report, work has been pretty busy lately, just been enjoying the TL. My MPG has been in the 19-20 range lately, been on the throttle quite a bit. When I'm not, its usually in the 23-24 range.
Its perfect right now, I have no urge to do or buy anything for the TL.
When I do have some time, I've been doing a couple of maintenance things with the wife's ML550.

Good for you, Will. I modified my Type S for 5 years. I finally just stopped and "enjoyed the ride".

I normally would of stayed with my All Season tires for the Winter, but they didn't fare so well with the past snow storm we had. Previous years, I would just stay home when it snowed a lot, but I gotta get my son to school.
Saw a excellent deal on Craigslist the other day for some 04-06 Base TL wheels with Snow Tires and decided to buy them. The seller also decided to throw in a extra wheel he said.

The A-Specs were cleaned and stored away safely for the winter. I also took off the Adaptec Spacers so they don't get rusted from snow and the chemicals used on the roads.

Yea, but they're possibly getting 8 feet before it's all said and done......
I can't even imagine 8 damn feet of snow.

It's been awhile since I posted a update, so here we go
Ever since I coated the car with Optimum Gloss Coat, I have a new routine for washing the TL. It only takes 20 minutes using Optimum No Rinse with 2 Gallons of Water, then while drying, use Optimum Opti-Seal. The Dry Me Crazy towel is great, dries the whole car without having to wring out the towel.
Before, car was pretty dirty
After
Added a new addition of the TL, which is coated with Optimum Gloss Coat as well
Some new pics

I like to have a rinse bucket
#557
i was like that as well, until i was recommended to use ONR by a professional detailer.
Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine: clay lubricant, optimum rinseless wash, no rinse car wash, optimum detailing products

That's what I like to call skimming a post.
In b4 he comes and tells you he knew that and how you're doing it wrong.
I actually did ONR for a while...it serves a purpose but on NBP...I really needed the extra peace of mind to use water and traditional method. Looks awesome though, Will!

I'm with you on NBP being harder to take care of. My wifes Obisidian Black Pearl ML550 is coated with Opti-Coat Pro and ONR works great on it.
A car coated with a Optimum product such as Gloss Coat or Opti-Coat Pro, definitely makes the car much easier to wash and keep clean.
