Thanks! Slowly building mods but not at your pace!
Thanks! I love the manual and never regretted it...ok maybe a little in so cal rush hour traffic. Wheel pics coming soon!
Got some used tein ss coilovers that I will install this weekend and put up wheel pics after that!
Haha man that is some stretch! I wish I had gone 225 but too late now. I had my rear fenders rolled last weekend getting ready for installing some coilovers just in case. Pics coming soon!
And I STILL owe a video on my xlr8 quads and j pipe

not sure yet, maybe 1.5 or so. i'm just going to take a day and keep adjusting the height and see how it looks with the wheels. not going to slam it but want that gap to close! can't wait to get everything installed this weekend

in my search for new mods, i came across princelybug's progress thread and talked to him about dropstop. after talking with him and looking it up online, i decided to go with it. i also love this minor mod! it basically is wetsuit material with foam that fits in your gap between the seat and the center console and keeps anything from falling in there. it still allows you to move the seat also. it comes with 2 so i put one in the driver seat gap of my car and one in my fiancee's car since my passenger seat gap has the windshield shade. it blends in well with the black interior too
seat gap
dropstop
installed
it works!
_______________
where did you buy this? and did you pay $20 for it??

bought it at buydropstop.com and paid about 20 for it...worth every penny, can't tell you how many times it saved me from reaching in there to fetch something and it's not even noticeable

time for an update! got these 18" xxr 530 rims on about a month ago and 3 weeks ago i got some used tein ss on the BM.
i'm only dropped about 1.3-1.5 on tein ss (minor rubbing issue once that is fixed i'll drop more...so no jokes about my wheel gap ), running 235/40/18 nitto motivo tires, and my wheels are xxr 530 chromium black 8.75 +20 all around. rears are rolled and have a camber kit...fronts might get roll and slight pull this weekend. about 1.5 finger gap all around. if i did it again i would prob go 225 tires, but the wheels look great for their price!
also had to remove my front 50% tint about 2 months ago and just yesterday put on 70% (a cop patrols where I park and always gave me fix it tickets, hopefully 70 is light enough to not tell!)
here is it without a drop for comparison...

bought the OEM trunk mat for a great price on ebay thanks to acurazine and installed it today. drilled in some holes to continue utilizing the cargo net...i really like how it turned out, great fitment and perfect for storing muddy gear from soccer or spartan races
also ordered V3 triton switchbacks (5k) from v-leds about 3 weeks ago and still waiting for them to ship...will update once installed

Damn, I can't believe I missed your last update. Congrats on the wheels and coils! I had a trunk tray for a while and it was nice throwing dirty and wet stuff back there and not having to worry about it.
Any plans for A-Spec?

I like the trunk tray so far less worry about getting it dirty
I've gone back and forth on the a-spec many times...I hold off since I'm on the fence about it. I think it looks great in most colors but think WDP looks the least best out of them all, prob due to all the white color mismatches.
Thanks! Thinking about painting the TL lettering similar to what you did. Still holding up?
haha I know I'll prob drop it another 1/2" soon!

I have the Aspec on my WDP, I think it looks great...wouldn't want it any other way. If fact I think it looks best on the WDP or Black.
The wheels look grrrreat!

Yea I go back and forth, sometimes it looks great and other times I'm like eh. I'm going to try to meet up with someone local who has it on wdp and make the decision then!

thanks! even my wife likes the mat and usually she is bias against not liking my mods since it keeps me away haha
ok new update below....Vleds V3 Triton 5k switchbacks installed today!
bought this kit back in mid Dec, but re-submitted my order with the 35% sale they had and last week just got the 5k switchbacks.
the whole kit is very robust, it comes with dielectric grease for the connections and heat shrink for every connection as well. the hardest part is securing the controller box and CLS (resistor kit) but other than that it's a great plug and play setup and is a great match to the OEM headlights (4300k). with all the zip ties this setup is not going to move, pretty solid
i changed the length of the Triton bulb until the LED output was the same height as the filament from the OEM bulb
took off half the fender for ease of access
this is the turn signal area
driver side setup
passenger
passenger from below (had to make sure the CLS box wasn't hitting the windshield fluid hose)
and the final product!

also installed the hybrid racing shifter cable bushings a few weeks ago. much crisper shifting now and definitely a recommended mod for anyone with the 6 speed!!
the next mod (hopefully this weekend) is the slave cylinder check valve delete which should finalize my MT mods
install took longer than i thought because the area to work with is very tight and that wire loom is always in the way! and for the install i had to loosen the 3 bolts holding down the cable housing bracket because without it, it was impossible to put the linkage with the bushings back onto the rods, it just didn't have the right angle.
hybrid racing bushings
OEM bushings
installed HR bushings
far away view to see where it's located in the engine bay

thanks! i try to take pics as i'm doing my mods so that others can get a better perspective on them or see if they can do them on their own
thanks! yea those tritons are really bright, makes you wonder if they are LEDs haha. they are expensive but worth every penny with the new look IMO. plus i got them on a 35% off sale

few updates from last night....painted the rusting front rotor hubs black and did the slave cylinder check valve delete mod!
the rotors are blanks i got locally about a year ago but they rust really bad on the front, so i cleaned them up and painted them with dupli color high heat caliper paint. now i don't feel ashamed when people look at my wheels haha
also did the slave cylinder check valve delete mod. bleeding took the longest (my wife wasn't happy continuously pumping the pedal on a saturday night haha) and the snap ring was a pain to get out...after 30 min of working on the snap ring, i decided to try rockstar's method of taking a dremel to the slave, got it out in 5 min with the dremel
took a drive today and the car responds a little better when shifting (not night and day, maybe it will after more driving), and the downshifts are definitely more smooth. good cheap mod

Thanks, I had to get rid of all that rust color haha
You can buy them from heeltoeauto.com, Marcus is one of the vendors on here. Def make this purchase!
Thanks guys! I was on the fence originally but now love the look with these rims that allow you to see more of the caliper

Great job on the calipers
