I was inspired today... (56k Decay)
...by nate_0022 and his claybar picture thread found here.
So I'm going to take my latest arsenal of cleaning supplies and do a complete exterior detail on my TL-S. With that, I'll include pictures since this is the proper forum for it.
I need to dethatch my lawn and overseed it before I start with the car, so I'll have actual car pictures a little later on. Don't have my air tank yet, so a good wetsanding and compound job will have to wait.
...and nate_0022, next time a MN meet goes on, let me know! I live in Anoka county.
Enjoy!

It's quite hard to make a silver car look dirty in the shadows (with my camera) so I just have one of dirty front. Side splatter bird poop somehow managed on passenger front fender.
Then we have "explaining to the non-enthusiast world rear end," followed by anonymous Acura. I always preferred debadged cars.
Lastly, displaying the cleaned and dried Acura in the garage awaiting the 'major' undertaking. Would post pictures of next detailing components I will use, but am not sure for now. Stay tuned...
Oh yeah, the plates look like garbage because the nasty Acura trim rings the previous owner installed held oxidants in place. I think I will be getting custom plates in the future.

So, I decided to get a quick fix on the exhaust tips with some polish. They will reflect the ground perfectly when I get through with them, but I just don't have the time for that now.
Next for certain is the almighty clay bar. We'll see how serious I get with it when I start into the motion...

Sorry, I'd sell if I could, but not sure when the ATLP Quad is going to happen.
Furthermore, this is the first real detail I have done with this car. Using the 60* weather to my benefit right now. Just wish I had more time... I think it's going to be a late night!! Oh well...

So I did the Wizard polish all around the car and am now going to do the sealant. I gave up on clay bar because it was too cool outside so it wasn't acting favorable. Here are pictures from after the polish. Stay tuned for sealant pictures!

Nevr-Dull FTW! That stuff does wonders on my ATLP Base.
Your car looks great! I really need to give mine a proper cleaning.

Looks pretty clean. I know your pain about showing how good it looks in pics, i did before and after pics of when i did a complete buff and wax of my TL and they looked the same! Maybe i need a better camera! Looks good, that metal polish works wonders and is super easy to use!

thanks for the comments everyone! There are definitely a few more items I want to take care of, but I just needed to invest a little time in cleaning today. She was begging for it...

Looks good. Never was crazy about TLs that are debadged though for some reason. I like how the badges look.
