After doing research on here and asking around, I've had the SPC kit on my eBay watch list for months knowing that's what I'd do if I ever went that route.

Good to hear it's an easy install.

UPDATE...

Window visors installed last night. Managed to install them without screwing anything up. Little bit I redemption felt good. Proper pics coming later today or tomorrow.

Also drove the car around during the day or the first time since my incident with the rear drivers fender. It seems a bit less noticeable in the sunlight, but I can see the small waves if I try to see it in my side mirror while I'm driving. Uh! I'll get some quotes and see if paintless dent removal will take care of it, but if the price is steep or too difficult then I'll probably just leave it alone. Lesson learned & battle scar earned.

Awesome pictures! Such a gorgeous car.

When taking pictures of the wheels, crouch or sit on the ground to get an eye-level shot. And clean those exhaust tips

I know, I know. I thought I'd get a comment about that. Rest assured, I've got an unopened can of Bar Keeper's Friend at the house begging to be used.

Thanks guys.

Took a couple of my daytime shots and applied some post-processing tips I picked up from a couple of tutorials. These have been adjusted in Photoshop using "Unsharpen Mask" and "Levels".

Very nice, as a rule, I darken/sharpen, then bring the shadows up.

As in darken the shadows by moving the midtones left or sliding the darks right?

I usually add contrast/sharpness...then bring the shadows back up by lightening them and/or bringing the brightness back a little.

I dont edit much....just crop/tilt/rotate and brightness and contrast at times to avoid a blown out sky with a black car....but my photos arent even remotely close to the quality of Jeremy's pics, so take his advice, not mine LOL

but i havent taken any car pics recently

also are you editing in LR5/LR4 OR just on flickr....I shoot raw, adjust a little brightness/contrast and convert to jpg using Nikon View NX, upload to flickr and rotate/tilt and post....

I need to start using flickr, since View NX does not do well with putting a watermark and other stuff...

Those edits above were doing use an old copy of Photoshop 7.0 on my work laptop. I have Photoshop CS3 at home. I understand Lightroom to be a simplified version of Photoshop for dedicated digital photo post-processing so I'm sure I could get the hang of it easily after dabbling in Photoshop for a few years now.

for sure, I only have LR4 and that's all I use...I had PS CS3 and it was hard. I'm dumb.

oh, and Anil.

Lightroom is far superior for editing pictures in terms of color adjustments and such. I view PS as a graphic design program anymore. Although it is better for cloning out objects.

I think your pics came out well, the WDP isn't blown out and the wheels are visible but still dark enough to where they don't look grey, nice work! I think they look natural, that's what I go for when editing.

It may also be worth nothing that those edits were done from the JPEG files and now from RAW. Photoshop 7.0 can't read the RAW files from my Canon, but CS3 at home can.

I'll look in the some LR comparisons and see if I want to go that route over time.

I still haven't gone RAW yet...takes up so much space!
Yeah, definitely great shots...if you'd have NOT asked for feedback/critique, I would have just given you a on them, subjective so obviously, we'd all slice the pie a little differently.

Thanks for the feedback. I feel like the few tips I've picked up so far about post processing the keepers is helping to make things pop.

Here it is getting juiced...

Are you perchance considering a rear window spoiler?

I've been back and forth on that. I'm not sure I dig the lines it adds to the car from the side. Kinda like you said above, it's one of those subjective things. I don't want to do it just because it's another mod, but I'd do it if I really feel like it adds to the car in my opinion. I'm not there yet.

I am also considering something on the sides (not A-spec sides) that I think will be a nice subtle addition, but I'm not sold on that yet either.

well...you certainly don't "need" anything, was just curious. I was VERY against the visors and rear window spoiler for a long time.

damn...you are good.
Well, it doesn't detract from the look to NOT have it...it's the angles from the rear that look kinda cool. can even go with a NBP one to make it less obvious maybe? bmwoemshop is the way to go!

I think it adds a nice dynamic to the trunk spoiler.

And dayyyum your car looks clean! Love the gas station pic.

Interesting you say that, because I actually clipped the trunk spoiler from the original photo and pasted up by the roof, did some skewing, and then clone stamped to get the edge more pronounced (all stuff you'd only notice if you zoomed in as close as I did).

In short, it complements the trunk spoiler because IT IS THE TRUNK SPOILER!

Cars looking good, blacked out emblems would looks pretty cool with your white/black theme you've got going. Any interest in doing the emblems?

I've thought about dipping them just to see if I liked the look, and if I did I'd probably get them done gloss black to match the window trim. But I'd do something different with the front instead of just blacking out the whole grill. I actually like the black chrome on the Type S trrim in the front grill, above the rear plate, and in the light bezels. Not sure...maybe doing the emblems black chrome to match that trim would suit my taste better.
