As She Sits Now...

Just a few pics of the Type-S after some minor detailing/restoration, CBP is so pretty after some Meguiar's ultimate compound & wax!

Still can't decide on an A-Spec kit or not, right now stock it's not bad with low-profile Yokohamas. Might just be awesome with the A-Spec kit!

Pro sand/respray front bumper with factory CBP, filled drilled license plate hole in middle of bumper, put in factory bumper plugs, add Llumar clear bra on bumper, partial hood, headlights, sides, and add yellow clear protection on fogs. I think it turned out great, guy blended bumper in perfect!

Had the black vinyl sticker inlay for the 'ACURA' sign in front bumper but it wasn't working for me, looked off. So I ended up removing it.

I also cannot decide if it would be worth it to just get the A-Spec lip for just the front bumper. I like the look, will it require drilling holes in the front bumper as well? Plus, I don't know if it would look incomplete without the side and rear A-Spec lips added.

so you put the clear film over fresh paint? i just got my car painted and the body shop said to that until the paint fully cures which is like 3 months, also no waxing for that time. AND the shop that does the clear film said to wait as well

Oh no, the bumper was resprayed right after I got it back in April. I did the clear bra only a couple weeks ago. Normally in Las Vegas, since it's summer and it's so hot here, paint will cure in 2 months or so but I waited a bit longer just in case.

I think once I get my door visors, and consider saving up for a A-Spec front lip kit as well as A-Spec suspension I will just consider mods DONE.

Yes drilling is recommended also removal of the lower fog grill
Remove the bumper and drill the holes that are premarked .

As per the instructions, you do need to drill holes in the front bumper, so the lip would sit right up against the bumper.

People have mounted it without making holes, using mounting tape.

So to answer your question, you don't have to drill holes. It's recommended for a better fit, though.
