LMAO...
Well, yes Josh...as far as "can't be touched" it depends on if you're talking to someone that values straight line performance, much power for little money etc...the styling isn't for everyone, the interior is a little simple and plasticky for a $35K car...but, like you said, there's a mystique about it that's fantastic and a great car. Depends on who's asking but for the sake of argument I'll join you. I would agree that of the big 3 retro renderings...Ford has taken the lead in a major way.
Morgan, thanks for setting the facts straight...I'll have to hit my buddy up with that info!
Everyone else...thanks for the comments and compliments. I cleaned my image sensor and car and have felt inspired lately! Gotta love what you got and since I'm missing my little convertible wonder, I'm channeling that into the TL!

yeah, the epoxy seems like a slightly daunting job, but I did a ton of research on getting it done right. Even went to the extreme of buying the rustoleum concrete patch to fix the minor cracks here and there and any gouges...figured if we're spending the money, might as well do it right and take our time.
with the teal accent wall, we opted for the desert sand colored epoxy. I feel the gray is played out and just looks like a darker version of bare concrete. Also, was on the fence about whether or not to add grit for slippery...although some claim the chips are enough to not slip, others say it can be a little slippery when wet...the down side to doing the grit is that it won't be a totally smooth surface and I was afraid it would feel grainy and my jack won't roll smoothly on it. I'm sure that's not the case but still...so I'm doing 1/2 of the required mixture...instead of a packet per gallon, I'm doing a 1/2 packet.
I bought the muriatic acid, I bought the industrial degreaser as prep...I bought rubber boots to protect my little piggy's when applying it. I bought the drill head mixer for a 5 gallon bucket...should turn out really well and hopefully hold up forever.
I actually read up EVERYWHERE on how to apply and which to buy. I have 550 sq ft in my garage so I wasn't sure which kit would REALLY be enough...over the counter home depot one supposedly starts getting hot tire pickup after a few years and is water based rather than solvent based. The Professional kit...is actually priced about the same on homedepot.com and is solvent based and when dry, will leave an extra few mil of protection over the water based one. The reviews basically told me that I had to do the professional one to get it right.
I guess once I'm done, I'll let y'all know how it turned out and if you want, give you my own do's and don'ts and tips.

Sh*t yeah brother...hard not to...so much power and a properly modified Challenger is fantastic looking! I agree though...I can't help but not take a Camaro seriously...all I see is Transformers. Failed marketing, IMO.

I think it can look decent with the right mods...but I just can't take it seriously no matter what.
The only thing about the mustang I don't like about the 2012 and below, is that the 2013 tails came out and I love them.

Morgan, back to your cage. If yours had enough power to lose control, you'd be singing a different tune about RWD.
naww...we poke each other a lot. It's all in good fun. He knows I'm a hater now that I have no RWD. Plus, I'm FOS...all the crashed S2000 I saw when looking for a fender were damaged in the front.

LMAO, the shocker epoxy then!

Yes sir...
I had 6K before but I got tired of the blue look.
I have Osram CBI for the lows and cheap 5K HID for the fogs that match decently.

I just swapped to cheap 5K bulbs on ebay...probably $15 shipped. Go for it!

So when are you tackling this project????
Well, chain of events...
Today, Faith Farm coming to pick up all the old appliances we have sitting on the porch for a donation. Then, I'll move what little I DO have on the floor of the garage out there. Tomorrow I'll de-grease, seal up the vent holes through the concrete so not dirt/dust can get through. I'll scrub with stiff bristle brush and pressure clean it out.
Monday will be round 2 but with muriatic acid etc to really get it clean...rinse thoroughly. Tuesday, I'll patch up any small cracks or chips in the floor with the Rustoleum concrete epoxy patch it, guaranteed to allow the final coat to adhere. Figured for $20 it was worth the extra effort to make the floor flawless. Wednesday I will do the final recommended Rustoleum citrus powder etch that will be arriving from Amazon. The home depot water based kit included it, but the professional grade solvent one doesn't. I bought the muriatic acid already, so I do want to do that, but I read a review that the epoxy goes best over the citric so I'll just do both.
Betty will park out front, I'll park behind locked gate on side of house for 2 weeks.
Oh, the horror of not being in the garage.
