Yeah...major update.
I don't own the car anymore.
Chip The Machine does and she currently lives in New Jersey.
Long story short, took out big loan from 401k to put down on the house...selling the S puts us within a few months of paying it all back. Timing was too perfect and knowing it would be loved and cared for by a friend in addition to a very solid offer (enough to make me part with it) were all needed, the perfect storm.
TL isn't worth enough to anyone but me, has 4 doors so that couldn't be my first sacrificial lamb. Being fiscally responsible is a bummer...

Bright side, it sounds like it went about as well as selling a car could possibly go. Sold to a friend, good offer, and you'll likely still see pics of it here and there.
And... congrats on the house! That's a big step!

Well said, man...and thanks boys.
You guys would be shocked but he got in/out of the car surprisingly nimbly. Must be all that police training. It was awkward at first...but I could get in and out very well too and I'm a chubby fk. It was harder in the passenger side for some reason.

LOL...immediately. I missed it before he had even arrived to pick it up. To not rub salt in the wound, I didn't even drive it for the last week. I'm kooky like that, and to be honest...I didn't do my usual devil's advocate thing and tell myself all the things I dislike about it. That fades then it hits you hard to miss it. I told myself to love and miss it and expect that it would suck for it to be gone but that it was important to do for our financial stability.
