For a Base TL without Brembos, it would be 4.

For a 6MT or TL-S that has Brembos, the only 2.

But Will...what if someone with Brembo want to bend and flex the cover to fit OVER the big caliper for that custom look?

It should fit only on the rear calipers as the fronts are dual piston calipers (Bigger calipers). In comparison to the 3rd Gen TL (Automatic, non type-s versions) have a single piston caliper.

Even on the S2000, it didn't really look right on either.

The tabs bend, so as long as your caliper isn't HUGE, it'll work...even if it is, it will work, but might look stupid.

Acura Dealership...you'd need to know the dimensions...they're bendable tabs, but it might look too small depending on size.

Question about these covers as I'm going to pick some up, I READ that break changes can be done without removal of the cover, but i also READ that the dealer will take off the covers. What is true, as I don't want to pay install to someone to put them on for me, and then have to get them reapplied when I need to get my brakes done.

Since it was said that to do brake pads the covers dont need to come off... What about if you are changing out your rotors? Just trying to understand when they might ever need to come off, since they get stuck on with RTV.

I can surely tell you for the rotor change the cover DOES NOT need to come off. If you mount like me.

Yup - it depends on how you mount it. I have mine mounted the same way as OP and no problems changing brake parts.

Just be SUPER careful to the caliper after you remove it, as if you rest the caliper on the control arm or rotor, you will scratch the paint on the caliper cover, and it will rust.

Finally completed this mod. It was a little challenging getting the covers to sit in a way that they would look the best, but once that was done, used the RTV and they are on there really good. This subtle mod adds to the overall look! Doesnt really draw attention to the calipers but makes them look better then without the covers. Thanks guys, appreciate all those that do these mods and help others!!

Just finished mine, front and rear on a 5at 04 TL. They looked so good brand new, but I had to go for the blue theme. Love it.

Looks good. I wonder if RTV is the best way to glue it since calipers tend to heat up pretty quickly. Maybe copper silicone, the one used on exhaust gaskets?

Thanks man. Running 19'' Avant Garde M510 wheels. 8.5'' wide in front, 9.5'' in back. Tires are Continental DWS 245/35/19 all around (so backs have a TINY stretch).

The RTV doesn't feel stable when you first put it on, but 2 hours later you know that it won't mess up. Just got StopTech rotors and pads put on, mechanic had no problem doing it with the covers on there either.

Installed for 3 years with RTV as well and have replaced pads once with no issues.
