You need the quad-exhaust. On top of that, paint it WDP.

Someone actually hit me one night when I was driving, and then the insurance company screwed me so I ended up repairing it myself and reselling it I really loved that car though! My TL doesn't even have some of the nice features it had.

Accident + Repair

Hey guys,

I haven't actually updated this in a while, but I have some major changes to post up!

First, I was in an accident back in the end of May. I rear ended someone and ended up needing a new fender and headlight, luckily no frame damage.

I ended up taking the money from the insurance and doing an 07-08 front end conversion.

Here's what I added:
-JNC 04-06 Pseudo Type-S headlights
-Type-S Bumper
-Type-S A-Spec
-Type-S Chrome grill+trim
-Type-S Sidemarkers
-07-08 Fogs+Amber Tint
-6000K fog HIDs
-RHO Plate
-Fujita F5 intake

So here some pics I posted in my accident thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/another-wrecked-tl-repaired-updated-pics-820537/

And here are some repair pics:

And here's how she sits now. These are some pics from the NOVA Cheesecake 7/31 Meet

I ended up selling the Type-S wheels because I got bored of them. I definitely missed the lighter colored stock rims and now love the look

I really like what you have done to your TL. The yellow fogs just do not do your car justice in my opinion. Some clear fogs and nice wheels will set the car off.

I have a first Gen tl(green), I am currently starting to look for a third Gen for a daily driver. Wanted to say thank you for the pix, I did not know they came in green either. Beautiful ride. I now know what color to look for! Thank you!

Thanks for the kind words! There's something I like about he yellow fogs; I think it just looks more "custom" than white since fewer people go for it. But I have been debating on going white. Luckily, I thought ahead and got 6k HIDs already; so if I want white, all I have to do is take off the tint

I got myself a DGP TL in may this year. I had never seen one in that color and I loved it. 6MT, but with what I believe is the camel interior because its a bit darker than other tan interiors I've seen. I'm in the process of some lighting mods, but that's about all I have on the table. I like a clean look. Nice ride.

NICE! I'm jealous you have the 6MT. I originally didn't like the color, but its grown on me and now I like that its unique. I rarely see any DGPs even on the road...and there certainly aren't many of us here on the forum!

Smile Major, Major Updates

Well, Recently I've had some MAJOR updates to my car but haven't gotten a chance to update this thread.

December 2011 to January 2012

I put on lime green civic SI wheels for about a week just cause I got them for free and wanted to see what the color looked like on my car:

Then, my car got it in the butt:

Then, I got it repaired and finished my Type-S conversion with a Type-S exhaust and color matched DGP rear A-Spec

February-March 2012

Then, I got some beautiful 18x8 Ebony Aspecs

Some lighting upgrades and Engine paint

Installed Footwell LEDs and Puddle Lights from LEDMOD.com

Then I finally grew some balls and got a drop!

More Interior Upgrades

Finally got my Navtool, Slim PS2, and some Interior LEDs installed

Blue LED buttons for switching between Navi and PS2 video feed, plus Backup camera+Tailgater Mod.

Then, I got some security. Viper 5704 Remote Start and Alarm

Then I installed my beautiful brakes from Brakemotive
Before:

After:

Overall I'm pretty happy with my car. I've definitely learned a lot this past few months as I've done a lot of those mods myself. I installed all the LEDs, KP Tech window module, the brakes, the puddle lights, footwell LEDs, and a few other things. I had always hated wiring and never wanted to tackle it but now I'm becoming more comfortable with it.

Coming up, Caliper paint, Sub install, and a few other small things. I think my major mods are pretty much all done for the time being

I got the navtool here on the BM but I'm sure you know its available on their website and on eBay

It came as a package deal with the PS2 and an audio interface (PIE X3 or something) but I had the USA-Spec Hon2y installed in my car already so the PS2's audio is hooked up to that. I didn't want to add an additional audio unit if I didn't have to. The USAspec automatically switches the radio to the PS2's audio as soon as the PS2 is powered up which I think is pretty nice.

I actually have 2 switches for the ps2 for that reason; one for powering the ps2, and one for switching between the nav/ps2's video. I didn't have room to install all three in the cubby hole so I installed the Tailgater switch and nav/ps2 switcher there and I put the ps2 power in the center console since I just leave it on all the time anyway.

Here's the switch in the center console. I threw in 2 LEDs in addition to the stock white bulb there just for fun since I had extra ones leftover. The smaller one in the top left of the pic is actually the LED in the switch.

Thanks!!

I wish I had done the viper. Definitely nowhere near that skill level yet

I had member SICKTLS install it at his place a couple weeks ago. He definitely know his stuff! Another great AZINE barter

Nice progress, did they blend the paint when you had your front end done? I dont know if its just the lighting/angle but the door and fender dont seem to match very well.

Typical Honda Paint.......

OP, your car looks good. Nice to see another DGP still around. There aren't too many of us. Have you ever thought about getting one of those hideaway plate brackets? They mount in the middle under the front bumper so you don't have to drill holes in the front of it, then at shows/meets/photoshoots it folds down and slides underneath the bumper. My buddy Kevin (Goldnknight22) has one and it's served him well. They make a motorized one too IIRC.

Thank You!

Yeah actually I've heard of that one. I liked it but for some reason I like the RHO plate. I know its a love it or hate it kind of thing, but I actually like it a lot. I actually fell in love with it because of this pic posted by member sixsixfour:

Yeah actually they did a really good job with the blending and the paint. its just the lighting and the angle because I was in a parking garage. In person and in other pics you can't tell. I'll be posting new pics probably today or tomorrow of the car since I polished my exhaust tips and finally got around to painting my calipers

You're in Northern Va right? You were selling some ASA wheels on Craigslist last year right? You used photos from earlier in the post in your ad right? I had reached out to you to buy the wheels but you never responded.

Hm. That's possible, but its also possible I bought them before you

I am in NOVA, but I bought those wheels off craigslist from someone in MD, had them on my car for a few weeks and resold them a few months later on CL. They were listed at I think $350ish when I bought them and I resold them for $500ish. Depending on which price you saw them listed at, it may or may not have been me! I think I resold mine over the summer, and I had bought them sometime in January/February. If it was me, they were probably sold by the time you responded.

Small Update

Thanks everyone!

I had a few updates the past week and decided to post some cool pics. I also played around with some of them on Instagram for fun and some of them looked kind of cool so I'll post them up. Don't make fun of my n00b photography skills Everything was taken with a regular iphone 4.

Painted my calipers and applied the Acura decals.

Took these pictures just because I felt like my car looked awesome parked the way it was. Zero wheelgap but obviously I'm not lowered that much, it was just because of the way my driveway slopes down.

And my favorite pic lately;

To introduce the 3G TL at the NY Auto Show back in April, 2004, they used a DGP with ASpec as the car that first caught your eye when you entered the Acura booth. Like mine, it was a 6MT / Navi with Camel interior!
