Picked up a WDP last week!!

J/k j/k ;-) Well not entirely kidding, but we did get my wife a new '15 WDP Odyssey Touring. With our growing family we decided to trade her '14 Highlander Limited on the minivan as the second row captains chairs and small third row just wasn't going to cut it with 3+ kids which could be around the corner soon.
I'm probably gonna be flamed for the minivan purchase, but as weird as this may sound, I friggin like that thing lol. The amount of space and versatility in that thing is unreal! Soooo easy to load and unload the kids and I was pleasantly surprised that it literally feels like your driving a car. I think out of all the minivans the newer Odyssey's by far look the best with that "lightning bolt" side windows and the Touring and Touring Elite get some decent looking 18" wheels. Honda really makes some great vehicles and we're glad to stay in the family.
Ugh, did I seriously just make a post about buying a minivan and actually liking it? Fml lol!!! Let the flames begin......

Congrats on the 2015 WDP Odyssey James!

We love our 2008 Touring. The driving dynamics are great for such a large vehicle.

That dealership has beautiful flooring

Amazing how expensive vans are these days. There isn't anything "mini" about the odyssey or sienna

I wish more people would buy vans instead of suv, it is much better with kids. But too many people try to get away from the stigma of the van

I was wondering if there was a forum for the Odyssey lol. I just haven't searched yet but glad to hear there is. I have an appointment tomorrow to get the front windows tint matched to the rears and will be swapping over all the VLED V3 Tritons from her Highlander into the Odyssey. Pretty nice vehicle, but most importantly my wife loves it and makes things waaaaay easier than even a 3 row SUV. Before buying it she wasn't sure about the whole "minivan" thing, but now she could care less. She digs it!

My mom has an odyssey. I always thought it had pretty good torque for such a big car. It had a ahitload of features for a Honda at its time too. I dont remember what year.

Without a doubt the best choice for people with stroller-aged/toddlers

However, past those ages- SUV/minivans really aren't necessary

I'll say that the Odyssey is the best minivan on the market though

I have stroller aged toddlers, so the wagon works for me now. If I had 3 car seats, I am sure van would work best.

Past those ages, aren't they still using the booster seats? Or can y ou put 3 booster across in a sedan?

Depends on the family lifestyle IMO. If you have 3 kids who play hockey you'll be using a minivan up to the brim. Or if you take trips semi-regularly... The space fills up quick.

Thats what we thought until we got one and realized how insanely convenient and versatile it is. I actually like driving it too lol Super comfy, drives like a car, and surprisingly does really good on gas which I was not expecting. We took it to Brookfield Zoo here near Chicago yesterday and averaged 27.9mpg and thats with less than 200 miles on the odo. Not bad at all!

Wellp thats up to the wife, but since she is a stay at home wife/mom, chances are it will get well below average miles :-)
