SlowBro 18x12 fronts and 18x12.5 rears.
So I decided to start a progress thread and didn’t realize how much work it would be since ive made most of the progress in four months. I call it the Slow_Bro_TL I call it that because I like to cruise and have people drive up behind me confused as to why my wheels look so bent.
So I bought my 05 ABP TL w/nav back in feb of 2012. My choice of cars was between an 3g TL and an 06 Legacy. I couldn’t find a Legacy in 6 speed so I settled for the TL. Now I know I made the right decision. The remained stayed completely stock for 1 year and 11 months. Then after an 8month long work trip to Dallas and almost 2 years of hoarding parts I started my build. Suspension wise I went with an Accuair E-Level System and K-Sport Bags. I scored the Bags from GrapeJelly when he was parting his car. I went the bag route because I wanted the ability to lay out the car and yet still laugh in the face of speed bumps, angled driveways, and potholes. I went with the heeltoauto complete camber kit with the hella flush mod to the Skunk2 UCA’s.
As for the exterior I went the normal TL route and bought an A-Spec kit from ACKTL05, I also went with a C-Mod Grille, OEM visors, a CF type-s trunk wing, ATLP V2 Roof Spoiler, and LED sidemarkers. I had headlights and tails modded also.
Wheel wise I couldn’t make up my mind so I got all the wheels I thought looked great on a TL. I currently own a set of GramLight 57dr’s 18x9.5 +22 in the front and 18x10.5 +22 in the rear, Work XD-9’s in 18x10 +18 square setup, and Work VS-XX in 18x9.5 +19 fronts and 18x11.5+7 rears.
So far that’s it this all happened in the span of four months, from Nov of ’13 to this month. This year I start the exhaust and engine mods, im hoping to go with an xlr8 jpipe and atlp quad exhaust with pcd’s and everything included. Im also contemplating supercharging my car even though its automatic. I also plan on starting the interior, but im not sure what route I want to take that either. I thought about taking the stock seats out and buying some Bride seats, but im not sure if that would take away from the spirit of my build. I want to keep it classy but parts of me want to through some super sexy bride low max seats in there and call it a day. I also havnt gotten the fitment of the VS down to where I want them to stay. I love how perfect they actually sit and I know I just need to pull the fenders some more and ill be happy, ill be sure to post more pics when I finally get it done. Hope you guys dig it, i'll post up more pics and mods as they start to roll in. Follow me on IG:@Slow_Bro_TL

Im not sure how i could have forgotten to post this up in my original post, but im in the process of upgrading the front calipers to the '06 4-pot RL calipers. Im going to run EBC Red Stuff break pads, and PowerStop '07 350z slotted and drilled rotors, i already have SS brake lines so the upgrade to 4-pot calipers and good brake pads and rotors should make an amazing difference. ok, so i finally got a set of caliper brackets!!! i originally ordered a set from Paul but i ordered them jan 24th and they have yet to show up. I got impatient and ordered a set from fast brakes. So if Pauls brackets show up ill have two sets lol.
I painted my calipers last night, i had planned on doing them black with white acura letters. but i showed them to some friends and they all shunned me. apparently i should do them gold with black or white acura lettering. So i ordered some gold VHT caliper paint. when it gets here ill post up pics of them in gold.
also i went to my first NVUS meet this past saturday and someone snapped a really nice pic of my car.

Thanks for the kind words guys, although im not sure if the "THUD' from Swoosh, or the "wow...." from MR. Bell are good or not lol.
Yesterday turned out to be a day of disappointment. I drove 1 1/2 hours (one way) to pick up my wheels from Wheel FLip only to find out that they were not ready, even though i had called last Friday and was assured that they would be ready on Monday. I could understand if they are backlogged with work but at least give me some type of communication so that i dont take a day off work to go get my wheels, i mean seriously. Turns out that my Powder Coating Guy did the same thing to me lol So supposedly both the wheels and my calipers will be ready tomorrow. I also came to find that the fittings on the bags that i got are 1/4, which also sucks because my plan is to re-use the existing lines on my new bags. now i have to order a 1/4npt-3/8 quick connect line. And i get the feeling that this is gonna make the response time of airring up or down slower which i dont want. UGH first world problems i tell yah!

On the plus side, i got my calipers back, and holy crap do they look amazing! yeah my kitchen is dirty, so sue me!!! lol going to take them to get new seals and assembled tomorrow since i dont have the time to do it myself. Im going to grind down the ACRURA Logo and im going to get the assembly bolts polished for some contrast. Ill get some picks in sunlight. In other news, i have someone interested in my last 240sx, it should be gone by the end of the month and frees up some more funds for the TL, im torn between custom front and rear CF diffusers or something more insane like an engine swap. Yes an engine swap, something completely insane haha. Ill keep the thread updated on where my mind takes me and the car.

Why did you get rid of the Ksport bags for the Air Force setup? Were the Ksports starting to have issues or did you just want a fresh set?
