Looks great man! Love the new finish.

Look into getting 235/40/18 instead of 245/40/18. It won't slim the sidewall much, but it does look a tad different. It's not a difference a picture can properly show but it's noticeable in person.

Hmm... Is it the shift knob, the black thing on the passenger side foot rest area, or the cracked dashboard? LOL JK!

I don't even know.. what is it?

Also, what happened to your VIP thing you had hanging from the mirror? Looks player, what's it called? I see it alot on VIP cars and it's something I may consider...

^a dreamcatcher?!

You know MAS, sometimes I look back at pictures where my car was at where you're at now and miss it and wish I hadn't gone any further. I think you're done. You know, minus the window visors .

But seriously...it's perfection. Leave it be.
245 protects the aspecs from curbing a little...235 puts the lip out there more. 235's are fine though...and allow you to go a bit lower. Roll fender too btw, that'll help the most.

And yes, what is the mod?

Thx for info, cause i think your right as i've seen that size tire in person and it does look slimmer but doesnt always translate in pictures.

-Shift knob....is a mod but i've had it for a long time now.
-black thing on passenger side....left over from a cell phone holder (gotta get rid of it)
-cracked dashboard (haha, good one..i knew someone would say it).....i'm already working on a solution for this, hope it works out.)
-mirror hanging VIP thing......thats from a pic from another car i used as an example (only thing i've had hanging from my mirror is coconut scented beach sandal...haha, made me feel like a was at the beach all of the time)

Still missing this weekend's mod ()....any other guesses (rockstar dont give it away )

I actually agree. I feel i am very close. My goal has always been for it to be subtle. I've wanted it to be similar to what AMG does to a Benz.....someone who does not know alot about TL's would go: "Is this the new Acura sports car?"...well, no one would confuse it for being new but you get the idea. ANyways i feel i am very close....just currently hell bent on getting some contrasts on my front end. I love my modded headlights but feel it's all together too dark (would look GREAT on a WDP)....currently working on a solution. Besides that i have always wanted a Type-S lip spoiler as i think it is more aggressive and flows better with my Sarona roof spoiler. Lastly I'm thinking of doing a little more on my interior conversion by painting the plastic pieces around the doors and the rear speaker deck to black...that way the interior will be pretty even looking with black vs. tan pieces. That way the headliner, lower half of dash and lower half of door panels will be tan...everything else black....going to do this slowly but i'm pretty confident it will look great. These projects will keep me entertained over the next year...after that i'm truly done ()....oh, i forgot, if i ever win the lotto the supercharger will be on within days

Bingo! But i didnt wrap it...i sanded and painted it. They've been all scratched up for a while and i finally got the time to do it. Rockstar recently did his as well but he gave them a brushed aluminum look, i didnt think i could pull that off well so i opted for a simple flat black. Looks much better than the scarred up silver it had before.

Are those 17's? Maybe it's just the fact that your dropped so low and the wheels look so sunk in, that it appears to make the wheels look alot smaller than they actually are!

they are 17s and I am definitely kidding. That pic was after this

I caught my first flat ever in the TL. Figured I was due for that luck so I'm thankful I was able to make it to the gas station to mount the spare. Got it fixed the next day so the TL is back to its normal ride. This ccoming week I change out the tires as they are balding. I arranged it so the local Firestone store will have both the 245/35/18 and the 245/40/18 for me to try. Will keep you all posted as to what I end up with.

Also I painted the rear deck cover shown above to black (pics coming now)

Yeah, I'm lucky....I was only doing about 30mph. Able to stop off before the recently refinished wheels could suffer any damage.

Haha, 7-eleven's new feature: "fill the tank, gimme 2 corn dogs and a tire rotation to go"

Actually it turned out real nice. It looks natural and feels like it will last. Of course that deck does not get alot of hands on use so its got a better shot than other areas. Now when I look at the car from the outside the deck doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. With the top of the doors and dash being black it was just out of place.

I'm actually interested in doing what you just did to the rear deck.

While getting my coilovers installed, me and my installers dirty hands touched the rear deck and it has lots of oil and dirty stains on it. My interior is taupe and it just looks so dirty...

Can I ask how many cans it took you to achieve that?

Also, have you considered using that for your headliner and pillars too? I was really considering to suede my headliner and pillars, but that can looks like it would be a hell of alot easier. My headliner is also dirty from coilover installation..... I don't know how but we managed to get dirt marks in the rear passenger seat area. I'm guessing while installing the coilovers, when our head bumped the head liner it transferred dirt and smeared some....

^^I had the same problem and as you can see in the pic the cover had black dirt spots on it, just like yours. I used two full cans for it. It feels like the fabric material truly absorbed it so I think it will last. Not sure I would use it for the entire headliner add I don't know it could take the high use of the visor area and other high traffic areas.

So i got my tires mounted yesterday. I finally found the best, most careful tire place in Orlando. Firestone (just outside of the FL Mall) on OBT. Darrel is the manager and Joe is the technician. Since my wheels were just refinished (should've waited for tire change but oh well) Darrel and especially Joe took incredible care in unmounting the old tires and mounting the new ones. I mean these guys did it with the care that you or i would do it if we were mounting our own tires. Absolutely no nicks, scratches after the process. I was VERY, VERY impressed. So here a pics of the 245/40/18 still mounted on the Aspecs and the 245/35/18 next to it for comparison.....which do you think i went with??

It was a tough decision as i do want a lower profile looking tire BUT i dont want to deal with a rough/noisy ride. Can you tell which size i went with?

245/35/18 (pls excuse the dirty wheel wells )

I had my first drive with them today and i did not feel them any rougher or noisier than the 245/40 i just had on (thank God). Of course i have less protection from potholes but i think it looks better and that's what matters right .....i'll just drive more careful, besides the OEM aspecs are a little stronger than aftermarket wheels.

I'll take some better pics this week once i have lowered it a little bit more.

With the new lower profile tires i adjusted my height again this weekend to get the wheel gap right. I'm pretty sure this is the lowest i have ever been at. The smaller sidewalls are about 0.5in less plus i lowered the car another 0.25in so i'm a total of roughly 0.75in lower than i was a week ago. i can definitely feel the difference. Not sure if i will keep it this way...i'm not used to being so low....my wheel well arch -to- ground dimension is 24.5F/25.25R. Ride is still comfortable but i just feel too low.....ill leave it for a while to see if i get used to it. One thing i am sure of is that everyone i know who has seen it likes the look better...it does look more agressive....dont take my word for it (some new pics coming now).

^^^^whats up neighbor. You're right these roads are decent around here so being somewhat slammed is not that much of a problem, I just can't get used to being so low...gets REALLY hard just to get in and out of the car. Actually I just raised the front about a 1/4 inch so I now i'm at 24.5F/25.25R. Gonna try ahd see how I like it. Gotta love the freedom/flexibility coilovers provide.

Btw, I recently received some Type-S headlight diffusers for my upcoming headlight modding. Once again, I'm gonna paint the ring back to silver and swap the diffuser to Type-S. Hopefully it will look good and give my front end some more contrast.

Sofia would agree, you always gotta have a balanced front end.
