Anyone thinking about doing the S/C (ahem, that incudes you Rockstar) just say fuck it and GO! Life is short gentlemen, not to be morbid or pessimistic but statistically some of us wont even survive the next 10 years so dont save for next year what you can do now.......carpe diem my Azine brothers.

I dynoed when i first installed (no hondata, no CAI, no HBP). IIRC we got about 312 whp with a rushed tune. Since then and installing those supporting mods i mentioned the guy who tuned via hondata (Vitttuned) sent me an edyno which gave us about 385 whp (the dyno charts are somewhere on this thread). In my experience the edyno is as accurate as any other dyno you'll run into o the street so its good enough for me. I'm not fixated on a number but rather fixated on fun factor so im satisfied and havent dynoed further.

I've followed the turbo threads with Vit so I know he know's what he's doing - I'm also assuming you're running stock intake mani etc. With all the mods I have in mind, if I get around to the SC I'm sure I'll be able to push 350 which will be more than enough for me

If you're not taking food off the table or missing home payments go for it. I think there are a couple currently available on the BM.

Oh it will be in the budget for next summer. Right now I need all the supporting mods, and considering I'm planning a 3.7 mani swap / fully PnP, RL cam swap, etc, I need to take my time lol. Although having the car as my hobby outside of university right now is turning out to be quite the ride

there aren't any on the BM. Noober's sold.

all seriousness...all things factored, what do you think it cost to get you to this point? PM if you're not okay sharing it, if you don't mind. I have some decisions to make.

MAS, do your best to really warm J up to getting a supercharger. Much like the rest of us, I think he'd whine less if his car whined more

I agree with MAS. Since joining Acurazine, I've always been interested in supercharging the TL. After countless thread reading and research I decided supercharging the TL was for me better vs turbo. It has a cool factor, it gives the TL a decent amount of extra power and indeed turns heads when opening up the hood and when people hear that whine. I didn't supercharge my TL to chase numbers, I did it as to enjoy it when I wanted to enjoy it. It's not a blazing fast car, it's quicker. The pull can be pretty hard at times and other times the heat soak sluggish pull is terrible. Number 1 rule of thumb is maintenance over mods always. Before you start saving make sure your TL is up to the task of going force induction and read please READ as many threads as possible about the supercharger. Those OG members that were once the best of the best here are long gone, but their valuable information about supercharging is still here. HiSpeed is still one of the few still around.

I had toyed with a SuperCharger for the Corvette, but they are $5,600. If I told you how much EXTRA money I've already invested in the car already, you'd say, "hey, hold off on the Super Charger" too.......

Yeah, I've got a CT for sale. I'm selling it in a bundle with this....

On a side note, this morning i took the TL to work. I rarely hit it hard (never, ever street race with anyone) but this morning i had a little run where it was flat, empty and there were no hiding places for lurking State Troopers so i floored it good. I'm always nervous about excessive speeding because i know it only takes a misplaced screw to make it a very bad situation....besides i'm not particularly interested in dying right now. Anyways i was in 5th gear about 80 mph when the pedal hit the metal and i reached 140 mph (still in 5th) before i came up on the upcoming Rest-stop/Trooper station. Not sure about you guys but i've never in my 7yrs+ with this car taken it up that high. Again i've got a problem with jail time and dying so I had never done it before.

How fast have you guys ever taken you 3G TLs?

I think the fastest I went was ~110 but don't count me on it since I don't really remember. lol

Have you posted your can in BM yet?

@Steve: I think you need to upgrade your wheels now. I saw another red C7 but had black wheels on it and it looked killer! lol

I think before this morning my fastest was about that 110-120 mph.

Haven't gotten around to posting it up yet. I was out of town all last week and now that i'm back but my wife's honey-do list is kind of long right now. I think in about 2 wks i should have it all together.

I agree with you on the Stingray.....i have seen a couple with some mean looking wheels and it makes the car look really really beastly.
