Thanks for the props guys. I think the biggest factor in her looking good still is the fact that it's a low mileage car 61,000 and it's in the garage 90% of the time. Especially being close to Chicago, our weather can be hard on vehicles. I have a company vehicle for work, and its really only weekend running and a few errands during the week. I also used to detail cars for a living so I like to keep her tip top.

I use 3M for the bi-annual polish, then Meguiars Cleaner/Wax for the quarterly wax jobs. Regular buffer with foam pads, I like the 3M system with Velcro backed pads. So far I haven't needed anything more aggressive than a medium (#2) compound for some light scratches I got from a careless relative wiping their ass down the side on the way into the house through the garage. Oh well, if it was to be pristine I'd have kept it in a museum right?

Be prepared to take a LOT of grief from friends/family/girlfriend/significant other to keep a car that minty fresh...
"It's just a car"
"You aren't gonna let me set my coat on the trunk?"
"Why are you washing your car again, you just did it last week?"
And my statements:
"Please come ask me when you need your bike out, I'll get it."
"I don't care if people behind me are pissed, this road is dusty and full of gravel."
"No drive thru, we'll eat inside."

Me too-it doesn't matter how clean your car is if your tires aren't properly dressed.
