Check in a few days and if the bubbles are still there, either call the shop and take it back or use a VERY small needle and pop the bubble.
I will let it sit but I was just curious like what if my finger touches it a little while closing or opening the door you know?

The shop is 2 hours away lmao

Two hours? Teh fuck?

If you touch the tint accidentally you'll be okay, just try not to wipe your hands all over the windows

Gotcha thanks haha

Yeah two hours away.
Got it done at a highly reputable shop around the GTA known for their excellent installs and good pricing.
I didn't even have to tell them to tint the whole rear quarter window or install moleskin.
$220 with moleskin installed on Formula One Classic Series (one of the top tint brands).

It looks SO damn good.
But when you look closely theres still bubbles and its weird to see my back window at night because its kinda distorted lol

Wow that's an awesome price. Sounds like they did a great job too!

Just let it settle for a few days, I remember my rear window bubbled a little because of the window warmer things.

Y U NO POST PICS?!?!???!??!!!???

I agree, I want to see tint pics...
the bubbles are the soap/water mixture they use to place and slide the tint into position. The sun will evaporate those.

GTA = Grand Theft Auto Area?

leave the bubbles alone...they will be gone within a week or less if it's hot out.

At long last, here is my TL with 35% tint.

Looks VERY classy with 35%.

Not too dark, and not too light.

My NEW (already had VLEDs) front dome LED boards came in today.
I'm still using my 6k rear dome LEDs from VLEDs.
New rears come soon, though.

15 SMT 5050

Old vs New:
Notice how my old ones were 6k whereas these new LED boards are just pure white.

Both installed:

How it looks with sunlight coming through my garage window still...

Pitch black in my garage...
Look at the floor!
It outshines my door LED I think lol

Doors closed, with my 35% tint and the LED still on.

Surprised my rear 12 SMT 5050 LEDs didn't come in today too =(
I ordered it at the same time and used the same shipping service.

Hopefully it comes in tommorow.

Oh and some of you are probably asking why I went so bright and upgraded my VLEDS.
Well, ever since I added footwell LEDs, those lit up the whole floor area since they are so damn bright.
You don't even really notice the dome LED since the footwells are so bright.

Well, I had to even it out and go bright up top too, and now you can see nothing over powers another.

Before where the footwells overpowered the VLED domes

Thanks Steven!

The bulbs are actually blinding.

The whole time I was installing them and testing them out, making sure they are straight and even, I had to look at it and it hurt my eyes.

Everywhere I blinked I was still seeing the LEDs from the LED board.

It does hurt my eyes a little too, after being installed.

Oh, and one downside of the LED board is it gets hot!

Maybe it's because I turned them on for a long time to install them, etc but they got pretty damn hot, and they are touching the dome cover which makes the dome covers hot too.

Damn that tint looks great

I think you and I have the same LEDs now. Did you get yours off of eBay?

I love the no-XM-antenna look you Canadians have.

I bought mine off a different seller but let me tell you, 2 years later or so, I'm still going strong with these boards. I did the same for all 4 inside the car. I actually don't have door courtesy lights anymore (fried the circuit on the multiplex unit).

Yours look amazing, bud...amazing.
ONLY thing I've had to do is strip and tape up the red and black wires to each other. Over time the little white plug connection gets a little questionable.

Thanks J!

Yeah I think I should have taped up that plug connection now that you say so, even though I don't think it will come undone.

My friend with the RSX has an LED board in his dome and it went out on us while we were wiring his fogs and he says it happens often and just pounds the dome with his fist for it to come back on lol

Thanks for the pictures, I'm jealous as fuck about your interior. I really wish I had ebony dark interior on my NBP.... I have taupe and it gets so dirty easily and just doesn't look as nice as ebony interior...

So would you say your footwell led strips are more closer to 6k compared to your 5k pure white domes? Your footwells does look a bit more bluish-white in those pictures compared to your domes, am I right?

You're right, but they are both pure white.

I think it's just how the footwells reflect the light down there, but if I were to take the LED strip and hold it up on my roof, you can clearly see they are pure white, trust me.
OR if I take my footwell and hold it up to the dome (if that was possible LOL), it would show the same.

Again, the camera does change things...

BOTH of these were taken with the same camera.

They are not blue at all :gheylaugh:

That's why I need a DSLR.

Oh, and one thing I noticed about my driver window is that the rubber trim and actual gloss black trim garnish that runs along the top of the window doesn't seem like it's in its groove.

I probably shouldn't mess with it while the tint is still curing, though.

DO NOT mess with anything till the tints are done curing. Then you can adjust the trim!

Yeah, over time...you'll see that the little plug for the universal tips will go bad...but I DON'T recommend pounding on the light to be your fix. I used to do that to fix stuff in my twenties...then I got tired of replacing the bulb AND the dome fixture (if you know what I mean).

When you have some time, since you're handy...I'd suggest you strip back the wires, solder them together and heatshrink. Save you some time down the line. You can always do it while they are IN the fixture or use some new double sided tape.

I had these as my lisence plate lights for about two and a half years using two 4" white tubes and they worked great. Except I mounted the tubes on the outside just under the openings where the stock bulbs are (the CCFL tubes are already sealed and weatherproof) and used a male 195 bulb base to connect to the stock wiring.

My transformer finally shit the bed a couple months ago so I need to order a new one.

When I had my Accord, I had two 12" white tubes in the headlights. I took out the amber strips that go along the bottom of the headlight for the marker lights, and put the CCFL's just in front of the reflector and then sealed everything up.

very nice accord indeed!!!

Good news, all week is hot as hell and sunny which is good for my tint and I can see some bubbles are going away!

For people with LED boards for their domes, do they get HOT?

Because mine get very hot.

Lucky for me, all week has been very hot out!

Most bubbles are gone from the tint, and now there's only really the random bubble and very very small bubbles, which still need to evaporate.

My car's VERY dusty =(
Too afraid to wash it right now while the tint cures.

My rear dome led boards havn't come yet! =(

And yeah, my LED boards up in my front domes give off heat.
I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like I can feel the heat (could be just me from the intense light it gives off) like I'm tanning in the sun at night lol

Better pack that sunscreen and sunglasses at night.

Thanks guys!

This Sunday, it will mark 7 days after I got my tint done.
Surely after 7 days I can roll down windows? Even though there's some tiny bubbles still?

Anywho, today I went to my Honda dealer and bought a door lock actuator.

50 bucks fml.

I should have ordered it from a vendor for 30 bucks and have it shipped to someone in the states and redirect it up here to me (which would cost $5?).

Save 15 bucks.

Probably gonna install it on Sunday or Saturday, to make sure it doens't mess my tint.

IMO I would still wait to roll em down, just to be on the safe side. If you are worried about it, whats a couple of more days

Car looks damn good now with the tint.

Will those LED boards work in the trunk? I'm assuming so if they fit in the domes they would fit in the trunk. About the issue with them being hot, do you think you got a bad batch or something? Try putting them in the rear domes and see if they get hot in that location too.
