The Saga Continues
As I said in my last update, I had an appointment yesterday to get my fenders rolled (just in case), wheel hubs, calipers, and exhaust covers painted, and spacers installed. That all happened and everything looks great, EXCEPT for my tires that are now shedding their skin. I have heard it rub on all four corners but especially in the front, particularly the driver side. Since the front fenders were already rolled except for that piece where the bumper meets them, he just worked that piece with some sort of tool he had.
After I got home and saw the damage, I used some tin snips and a file to try and get more of that piece off. I also had my Konis on full soft so I put them on full stiff to see if it would make a difference. I drove the car and it still rubbed just as bad. Hopefully it wasn't cutting as much though. I put a post on the 3G TL facebook page and the popular suggestion to me was to get smaller tires, and that should do the trick. Someone also mentioned an alignment since it's been awhile since my springs were installed and they have probably settled by now.
As of now, my plans are to get 225/40/18 tires and that should solve the problem. If anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to share them. Here's a reminder of what my current setup is: 18x8.5 Aspecs, 245/40/18 Tires, H&R Sport Springs, Koni Yellows set to the lowest perch, 15mm spacers in front and 20mm spacers in rear, fenders rolled.
I plastidipped my center caps.

Sorry to hear about the tires.
The work in the last 2 pics look really good though.

One problem solved, another replaces it.
So I got 225/40/18 tires put on Monday and it seems to have fixed my issue. I don't hear rubbing anymore! Now I just have to figure out what to do with my fat 245/40's
I re-dipped my grill and rear trim pieces. Looks so mean now!
But, I've noticed something strange about my rear springs. It's been like this ever since I got them installed but I really didn't think much of it because I figured it would go away after they settled. It's been almost two months and nothing has changed. Basically, the rear springs look like they are "bowed" rather than straight. This just doesn't seem right to me, but I'd like to get some input from other people. I took it in for an alignment today because they didn't have time on Monday. I brought it up and they said they'd look it over. They called me and said everything looks fine to them and everything was installed and seated correctly. This isn't a shop that regularly installs aftermarket lowering springs, but I felt comfortable taking it to them because they've always done a good job for me. The tech that installed them said either the springs are supposed to sit like that, or it's defective.
Also, the rear passenger side is noticeably higher than the driver passenger side. I think this might have something to do with the crooked springs. They said they measured the height and it's only a few thousandths of an inch off, yet I can visually see an obvious gap difference between the fenders and tires.

Damn, sorry I didn't chime in about your tire issues either since you and I have the exact same setup minus suspension. I bumped down to a 215 so I can haz moar low if I want haha.
As for the rear spring, I've never seen one sit like that before. That's really odd.
And come on Jeezy, get the fucking A-Spec kit already

I think I'm gonna take it to another shop to see if they can fix the spring and height difference issue. Everyone tells me they've never seen one like that and it's definitely not normal.
And I just don't know about the Aspec. Ughhh... SO MUCH PRESSURE!!!
Me too!

I'm getting the whole suspension completely uninstalled, disassembled, and put back on correctly. The original shop that did it is giving me a full refund. I'm confident this new shop will do it right, but I'll keep you guys posted.
Over the weekend I attempted to install Inspire fogs in the lower grilles and it was probably one of (if not) THE most involved modifications I've ever done to my car, or anything else for that matter. It turned out AWESOME! I'm really happy with it. It was extremely nerve-wracking when I was cutting. But everything looks great and it didn't take me nearly as long as I was expecting it to. Onto the pics!
I removed the stock air intake resonator while I was in there too. It sounds pretty good from inside, and I'm sure it sounds even better outside. (Forgot to take a picture of the finished product.)
Key fob had seen better days. (Paint job gone bad)
New plate.

Who the hell chose the name for this thread? It should have been Thug Motivation 101. Jeezy, you are not The Realest, you don't mix baking soda with your coke, and you are still on the Bottom of the Map.

I agree...wtf is right. I could deal with everything except the rear lip. That was really off. Almost like a pure white compared to the pearl in the bumper.
But anyway, car looks sick frosty! Cant beat a clean WDP. Im glad your not gonna A-spec the car.

Agree about the aspec kit...I think it would look great if it matched colors. The WDP is in my mind the worst matched one and I couldn't justify getting something that I didn't enjoy looking at. Great progress keep it up!

The guaranteed improvement in looks should outweigh the slight possibility of a horribly matching kit.
What you should do is wait until someone is parting out and is relatively close to you so you can see if there's any mismatch.
