haha before I posted the pics I tried to remember if anyone else has put random photos in their progress threads and your NASA pics were the first thing that popped in my head.

...and yes, I was taking a leak (not on the floor) when I took that "toilet rules" pic. Fortunately I didn't drop my iPhone in the urinal.

More parts to add to the spring install list!

Ichiba V2 15mm & 25mm spacers:

So far the list of parts piling in my house is:
- ebay roof spoiler
- 3k HID fogs
- LaminX yellow fog film
- Platinum amber 1157 LED turn signals
- VLED 921 reverse lights
- 15/25mm Ichiba V2 spacers
- Redline 3x3
- 3/4th gear pressure switches
- Ingalls rear camber kit

Coming before spring:
- Dom's nav2go
- PIE X3
- Ingalls front camber kit

After I get all that installed, I think my TL will be close to done...maybe.

If you like veggies, Vietnam is your paradise. There are so many vegetables they have that you can't find here and even the veggies that we have don't taste the same. For example, basil in Thailand and Vietnam looks and tastes a lot different than the basil you find in grocery stores in the States. Celery is another good example...

Try growing some Thai basil (if you can find it). It's amazing. The leaves are smaller than American basil and have a purple color. The flavor is much stronger and pungent than American basil. When I cook Thai food, I have to use American basil and it doesn't have the "kick" that Thai basil has.

Thailand is known for their temple ruins in Ayutthaya. I think there are some in Vietnam also, but I'm not familiar with them.

I wish I would've bought some Windows pants...I thought there was some Bill Gates clothing line that I didn't know about, but I think the Windows pants are just one of those strange Asian inventions.

Just threw in one of my V-LED's 1157 Platinum series bulbs to test them out. Not exactly what I was expecting because I thought they would be significantly brighter than halogens. In actuality, they are only marginally brighter, if not, the same brightness as traditional halogens. On a good note, the color of them perfectly matches the front sidemarkers, unlike the halogens. Also, you get the "cool" LED blink that halogens don't offer. Other than that, I'm a bit disappointed and I may be a hypocrite and try a set of switchbacks and see how I like them. Here are some pics and vids (in all pics/vids, the V-LED bulb is on the passenger side and the stock halogen is on the driver's side):

not yet available bro....am testing the unit for them....has some snags but i bet they will get fixed when the final product is out....

am assuming the product to be out and in for sale in the next 2-3 months....same blacked out/clear styles.....

my opinion would be, keep these....and sell em when those come out.....will let you know when they will be coming out

here is the teaser thread i started on those....

^Thanks for the info. If it's going to be a few months, I'll just stick with what I have.

I just went through your teaser thread. Looks like there'll be a lot of people buying those if USR can tweak the sidemarkers the right way. I'm going to keep my rear sidemarkers red and only change the fronts to white so they match the switchbacks I have on order. It sucks that USR makes you buy a set of 4 instead of having the option to buy just the front pair or the rear pair. Oh well, I'll be throwing the rear ones in the BM forum when they arrive.

from where did you buy your switchabacks and did you get v1 or v2? I just bought mine and a pair of vanity lights from autoluminations. Have any pointers on how to pop out the lens w/o breaking anything for the vanity lights?

And I do agree on the disappointment of the amber leds they do look a lot like oem bulbs

Going by what so many others here have recommended, I bought the Switchbacks from a reputable ebay vendor (wx_led). I got the type 2's that blink amber-off-amber-off. After seeing rockstar143's demo vid on his 120 LED switchbacks recently, I was sold.

I got the vanity lenses off with a butter knife. As long as you aren't super rough with them, they should pop off pretty easily without breaking.

Hell yeah I am...I was going to take the day off early today and do install the rear Ingalls kit, but it started raining. Oh well...at least it isn't snow.

I have a buddy out this way, Central Ave, Albany, that installs remote starters among other things. He used to be an installer at Circuit City, but now does them from his shop at home. I can hook you up with contact info if you would like. He uses Compustar starters, and it replaces your stock fob. The stock one will still work, but the start remote has all the functions of the OEM one. Granted its a drive, but hes legit, and reasonable cost.

Installation Unlimited in North Syracuse. Carrying another key fob around beats starting the car manually in the cold

Thanks for the info! I have the Acura switchblade key, so I can't exactly replace my oem key fob since my key is built into it. I've heard of remote starters that utilize your oem key fob (eg. press lock 5 times to start the car), but I don't know much about them.

Thanks also for this info. I just checked out their website and it looks like they offer a bunch of different remote start options. I like the idea of the ones that use smartphone apps to start the car, but if it's anything like the OnStar app that I use for my wife's Traverse...there's a huge delay between the time you press lock/unlock on the phone and the time it actually happens.
