Thought I would update my original thread from back in 2007 . Over the years, I have kept the car stock, especially the exterior. I did a few performance upgrades here and there. Nothing serious, just bolt-ons.
I took off my rear lip and started hacking up my bumper to fit RV6 exhaust. and Type S rear lip. The bumper under the rear lip was so dirty...actually, that is what the rest of my car usually looks like haha.
I was happy with the car over all. I bought this car new and taught myself to drive stick in it. One day I noticed I had a crack in my front A-spec lip. My wife despised looking at it and wanted me to get it fixed. For some odd reason, it really bothered her. For me, it wasn't serious enough to warrant repair/replacement. Battle scar I guess, gave it character.
On Thanksgiving night 2013, we had dinner at my sisters house and I parked on the street. Went home and slept off the turkey. The next morning when I went into the garage I noticed a huge crack down the front of my bumper. I was like, WTF!!! Recollecting my thoughts, I was parked perfectly for the neighbor across the street to back out of their driveway and turn into my car where the crack was. This was all speculation as I had no proof so I left it at that. I didn't really want to make trouble for my sister making accusations. If they were responsible people, they would have left a note. My sister did go over there to check their car but saw no damage on their van. Must have been someone that came over to their house for Thanksgiving. Coincidentally, that neighbor did start always backing into their driveways instead of pulling in front first after Thanksgiving.
Fast forward a year or so, I have been driving with a cracked bumper and lip, lurking AZ and seeing some nice setups. I've been having an itch to spruce up the car with some new wheels. Nothing too aggressive. However, can't do wheels without a drop. I was at a point in my life where I was not sure I wanted to do a drop since, well, I am older and have a family. Maybe I will just leave it stock, forget about the wheels.
Still, the itch grew stronger, STD ? I mentioned to my wife I was thinking about getting some wheels for the car. Promply she replied, "You want to get wheels for your car, but not fix that cracked bumper and lip?" Touche.
New OEM front end
And with new Front Lip after I installed it.
Since the front end was looking legit again. I did some maintenance on the car, 105k mile service (outsourced) and new pads all around and rotors in the front.
New front end, maintenance caught up, I was feeling happy. As a result, I pulled the trigger on some new wheels and coils. I figured I have been stock for so long, why not get my all time favorite wheels.
My dog Ginger was excited too when they came in.
Coils were back ordered so it took a while for them to get in
Coils went in, thanks to TLDude876 for coming over and helping me install the coils. Ordered tires and looked forward to finally getting the wheels mounted.
Fresh out the shop that mounted the tires. The drop was too low so I rubbed in the rears. The shop didn't have time to adjust it because they had another appointment behind mine which ran long and I had to get to the office for an interview, lol.
Raised the rear up a bit and took a couple snaps with my phone
The car is filthy with a film of street grime. Once the weather clears up it will get a wash, claybar, swirl removal and wax.

Not sure what I would want to do next. CF trunk/roof spoiler are nice but easily stolen. I don't really care for leds or black housing headlights on NBP. Kind of like the contrast of chrome headlights and the amber. Have always been a fan of amber.

Absolutely LOVE the bronze TEs. Great choice, and you certainly pulled a "go big or go home" update
Out of curiosity what specs did you go with on the TEs?

Little touches like the roof spoiler make a big difference. You can get them relatively cheap. If it does get stolen (hopefully not), you're not out too much.
