Mike's Six Speed Build

Finally got what I've been looking for .

125k
SSM/Ebony
Navi
Comptech Icebox
Reflector Delete in Headlights

I made a 7 hour trip last weekend to pick this beauty up . Big plans for this car , The white automatic is for sale , But I'm much happier with this . Car pulls and runs extremely well . The previous owner purchased it crashed and fixed it back up and had it over 2 years, all seems well , paint is in 8/10 condition . Someone glued the rear badges on although . Timing belt service has not been done, But I plan on swapping it anyhow . Not too worried . I will be posting updates as I go .

looks clean nice pickup. I remember having two CL6's for like a month when I bought my current one.

are you thinking 3.5 swap?

Yes I am thinking 3.5 swap G, and I'm gonna try to lean towards performance before I do visual aspects of the car . If I can pick up some used cheap springs or coils I will just to kill the wheel gap but eventually do nice coils . Although there is a set of 2011 STI OEM Enkei wheels 18x8.5 wrapped in Dunlop Sp Sports 245/45/18 That I really want locally .

So I may be shooting high here but I'm making a trip to the track in November and I want to run 12.99 or better . I'm not sure my clutch will hold it though. That gives me over 4 months to make it happen .

I seen this picture on Instagram and seen you said you bought it. Can't wait to see your build on it! When you sell your Auto, you using the money for upgrades on the six speed?

I have knowledgeable friends and a uncle that builds motors so I'm gonna be good . But I asked in a separate thread I still have questions regarding it . Should I use my head, cam, and stuff from the j32a2 or what ? And where can I get a j35 in vegas ? or to Vegas ? I tried gathering knowledge from other threads and that's what I figured , J35 block pistons crank , j32A2 heads , and a huge manifold throttle body and intake . heat wrap my headers and go ham lol .

About damn time Mike!.Congrats. I still haven't sold my cls but not really tying, its just been sitting for the last few months ever since I picked up a new toy I'm thinking of just running it through the auction and taking whatever it auctions for. Unless someone on here wants it.

I really want to build the engine on the side of my car although so the swap is faster and easier . But what I'm getting from this that seems like the best setup to be making globs of power safely from nitrous and eventually turbo is a ....... ?

J35a3 block , Rods that come in there , But CL or Rl pistons , a J32a2 head with stock internals just port and polished , and than a huge IM from a 3.6 or 3.7 SHAWD with a (? idk) TB .

Thanks G .

On another note , Took the car in for a lifetime alignment at firestone , car drives pretty well now and I have some paperwork showing how off it was before , only thing is they can't bring my caster into perfect specs but I don't think it's anything to worry about .

New whip is cleaaann. One thing I will say is good luck finding 6-Speed headers! Why not swap over all your mods from the first CL?

Because I'm gonna daily the white car through the summer and try to keep miles down on the silver car , only drive it when the urge kicks in . Also the Coils have lots of miles they are a bit squishy , and the front camber arms have cut boots so they're bad, and the sway bar doesn't matter because I'll buy the set for this car

It's gonna be a bad machine .

Will these fit our cars? I thought the offset on these wheels was way off from what fits the CL.

Yep, they are the same as the 04-06 wheels, 17x8 +45 offset. I've had them on my car for some years now to clear rl bbk

Make sure you verify the centerbore on the STI wheels. IIRC, the sti has a 54 mm bore and we have a 64 mm bore. Nice car!

How long did it take you to polish those? I been wanting to do mine but Idk how long it will take and its my only car and obviously i cant drive it when I go to polish. Also any gains from the test pipe? Ive heard its only at top end speed and it will decrease torque?
BTW car looks amazing!!
