Hmm...yeah I might need to reconsider and do some more looking into the 335 because this came up again and someone mentioned the same thing.

Few small mods and the car responds well.

But the e46s are good cars too, and in M spec they look great.

Yup 328 is the base model.

I love the growl on the 335i.

I started looking into them brand new 2011 52k, I found a 2008 for 26k, but it was a 328 which I do not want.

True, but no one goes for stance hoping to get a nice ride out of it.

Oh and dibs on some CF engine bay stuff if not already taken if you part out!

i would say test drive both first, a 335i does not have a lot of characteristics of an m3, esp handling and suspension, there is a big difference! Mod wise, like others are saying the turbos on the 335 make it a joy to mod, but nonetheless owning a beamer is expensive so I would look ahead in terms of maintenance and insurance!!

Hadn't been driving it much since I had purchased a second vehicle in 2012.

Thanks man, it was a fun build. It's Oakland, I doubt any one will be arrested.

I was fortunate to have full coverage. The odd thing is that they also stripped my black interior and replaced with a tan interior. Almost thought someone was trying to complete an ugly interior remodel lol
