New Vossen VFS-1 & air suspension

Hi everyone, recently picked up a new TLX and absolutely fell in love with the car. Love the 9 speed, ride comfort, interior and the aggressive sport + mode. Although i loved the way it felt, i had to customize my car right away. Put alot of time and research to perfect an air suspension kit that would work with this car and im finally sharing my project with everyone. Please keep negative comments to yourself we all have our personal taste and i like the approach i've taken with the car.

That looks great from the rear quarter view...... I know the body kit isn't very popular on here, but it looks quite nice.
Thanks for your pics.

Question: Do all aftermarket ride suspensions dump to the ground with the engine off? Is there a setting to maintain ride height?

Okay, so I have a question. How hard is it to drive this with the car lowered this far? Maybe the pictures are distorting my depth perception but if you hit a pot hole or something, won't the body side molding strike the ground?

It's on air suspension so when he drives he can bump it up to a safe drive height.

BTW what struts/bags did you use i have been waiting for Airrex to release their air struts for this car.

Did you have to remove the fender wells or modify anything else in order to have it aired all the way down?

Nice job Elite, if I ever lower my car again it will be on air too. No other way around NYC. That's the dealership I drove the TLX at as well a few weeks ago. They were wowed by my car when I was there. I am sure they are going bonkers seeing yours now.

For many years guys have been going back and forth about the safety of stretched tires. You'll find comments where I too was against it at one time. I've now been running them for years. The truth is they are pretty safe although they don't look like they are. You have to just pay attention to them more, drive more carefully and keep air pressure in check. If a tire goes flat it is harder to tell and it does risk an irreparable tire and rim damage if you don't pay attention. If you really run your car extremely hard, don't do them, but if you drive like a normal person you'll be fine.

How does it ride on the d2 struts? I am considering them with accuair elevel however i originally wanted to go with airrex struts, but they now only offer their new struts as a complete kit with their digital pressure based management system. But i am really wanting to go with accuair for the height based management and airrex will not sell the struts separately anymore.

^ Thank you, sir!

Both cars look amazing. I am considering a TLX SH-AWD Tech once I no longer need the extra space in the MDX.
