Ordered wheels today. Wont be putting them on til spring since i live in the snow belt.

Nothing special, i like the CV3 design and even though its overkilled on the forum no one in my town has them or anything like that on their car so figured for the first set up this will do.

Bought a set of Niche Milan in polished finish, 20x10 +40. Picked a set up for $820.

Quick lazy photoshop on the car as it sits currently.

Very great price on the wheels! What tire size are you going to run?

Also start buying lug nuts, TPMS + hardware (if you're not switching over from OEM wheels), and hub centric rings

Ya as long as it fits thats all that matters, looks good man. Not gonna lie I was cringing when i was cutting it but oh well. My best friend and my brother both have 8th gen accord coupes and we had to cut the back or front on their lip as well don't remember exactly.

Dude those wheels with the kit look sick even with out the drop yet. Wonder how mine will look in all silver and 10 +40 instead 10.5 +35 like yours, hope something like this

yours should look about the same. Here's a quick render I did with them. Looks good to me. Will def look better in real life. These arent concave so you can imagine how it will look.

Since its an AWD i want to go with a square set up. I won't be lowering my car for this set up, maybe next summer (please dont disown me guys lol). Couple things changed for me and Im looking to buy a house so very penny counts at this point. I wasnt even going to buy wheels just yet but I got a good price on them so might as well.

I would like to run 275/30 all around. It will pretty much match the circumference of my current factory wheel so it wont look any worse then it is now at least, just more wheel less tire. I know its no problem in the back I looked around the forum and some of you run even wider set ups in the back, my only concern is how will it work in the front. Is 275 a bit wide for the front on TL even non lowered?

If I was to lower the car that would be the only size I would go but I don't think there's a need for a stretch on factory height. I want little to no stretch on the wheel for this set up.

Here's how it's gonna look not lowered... I couldn't stand it... looked like a 4x4... $200 Bucks for Tein S Tech Springs fixes the issue... I know you can install them yourself... H Techs aren't as low... and a 275/30 on a 10 is going to be too wide... it's a super mild stretch on a 10.5 which is what we just did on Matt's and he's scrubbing like a pimp even with camber... my fender rolling tool will get here Tommorow...

When I tried 285 on the 10.5 it was definitely sticking out. 275 is not much smaller so I agree with User Error is will be almost no stretch and it will rub. I have to say the 285 looked sick on my lowered TL but I could not make it work even with a fender roll. Good luck with some research you will find what works for you and I bet it will look great.

On a side note, I have SH-AWD and if you size it properly you can have a wider rim in the back with no issues.

i dont see the point of going 30 profile tires, its to thin and will ride like shit plus your not even lowered...

i had 235-35-19 on the 19x10 and it has good stretch. i would recommend getting the 255-35-20 for your wheels. it will be no stretch and you will have more profile to ride on. and even if you get s-techs you wont rub, you will still have wheel gap especially with 40 offsets

I agree with going 255/35. 30 is just too low profile for me. Ive had a 30 and I hated the ride quality. 255 on a 10 is a very mild stretch.

Thank you guys for your feedback, nice to know that I can rely on people here for help. If 255 is a mild stretch on 10in wheel then I'll be going with that. Sidewall on 275/30 vs 255/35 is only about 5mm thinner but if I do drop it 255 will be easier to manage. As far as dropping it, I have a problem...i'm all or nothing type of guy and I made a mistake of buying springs before. 2 struts blows within first 3 months, so I would only go coils which is roughly a grand and thats the part I have a hard time with currently lol but will see come spring.

Not sure how Megan EZs are for the TL, But I have them for my accord and they do the job. They have Megaz EZs the the TL for around $680

Hi Anton, I just read through this whole thread today. You are to be commended for your initiative and your hard work. The car looks wonderful. I'm impressed with your work on the car but you also write it up nicely and the photos are terrific. You're a talented guy. Way to go.
I am an old man (!) so I have a different view than you young guys when it comes to mods. Not referring to your car but just in general I think there is a danger that one can go too far and then the car starts to look like a project or a caricature. If the mods do not improve the way the car performs, then what was the point?
I was a professional mechanic myself in a former lifetime and I am totally impressed with your work. I also admire you for ignoring some of the unhelpful comments! I'll be driving through Erie next week so I'll keep an eye out for that bad TL. JC

Yeah I love these guys that talk all the Shiz about sidewall height and have no clue the sidewall is directly affected by the width... a 30 isn't just a 30... it's 30%... so if you go with a wider tire the 30 is taller and has more sidewall... Matt was running 255/30's with no fender roll on 10.5's no rubbing...

About the Megan's That's a hell of a price I need to look into those I didn't know they were that cheap... I've got a friend riding those on an s2000 and loves them... So might be a good option...

Got the wheels. Was bored so decided to throw one on make sure everything is legit. Still got a 20mm spacers on so the stick out pretty bad but should be flush with the car come spring when everything is ready. Cant wait.
