Jam0837 Build Thread
hey everyone, this is my first time making a build thread.
I have an automatic tsx wagon so i dont think I will be doing any performance mods but I do like customizing my cars and upgrading parts and other things on them so lets start with what ive done so far.
Bought the car late August
My First Mod was 35% tints. I didnt even make it a week and had to get them.
Next was a rear debadge. Looks nicer imo with out the extra stuff. Took the finishing line and eraser wheel approach for this.
next thing i did was the front bumpshox license plate bumper. ive seen this in action and it does work for protection straight.
I wanted to set the car apart a little bit from what ive seen on forums and on other tsx's so i wrapped the beak in a pearl white (closest i could get to color matched). Came out pretty nice imo
i also decided to wrap the interior dash trim pieces in the same pearl white to color match the trim. wrapping the trim wasnt that bad since i was able to remove the pieces. the steering wheel was a pain since i didnt take it apart since i didnt want to remove the whole thing. so i just did it in place and tucked as best i could.
Also hooked up some infinity components and coaxil door speakers all to an inifinity amp along with a 12in alpine sub with alpine amp. Installed using a 4ch PAC LOC and splicing the factory wiring at the amp.
dont have pictures as they are behind the door.
Future Mods Include: Fiberglass sub box, coilovers ( or airbags depends on $$$), rims (dont know which yet), and thats it for now until i can think of something else.
Thanks for viewing and I will update once more is done.

VTEC just kicked in, yo!
welcome aboard!
does the rear bumper come with that strip of chrome from the factory? I like what I see, minus the interior pieces. But to each their own! If you like it, that's all that matters.

The chrome cam like that when i bought it from the dealer but im not sure if its an accessory or stock.
i wrapped the interior instead of painting so i can remove it when i dont like it any more. for now i still like it bc its different than colors others have done. i dont like being the same too much

was looking at some universal headrest monitors for my kids like these only $134 on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/351035964941?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and then hook up a Western Digital WDTV to play movies from a hard drive (same as my home set up). i think i will be a nice setup for only about $150

My headrest monitors came in but the gray is way darker is different than the taupe interior. so before i install im going to take a stab at reupholstering them. cant wait.
I am also toying with the idea of doing the seat and door inserts with something, just cant think of what. I was thinking bride gradation but its kinda of race looking but it would match the interior perfect. any ideas?

Nice car!
I am not a fan of hte interior paint, but its your car. Last time I did console paint was in my 1991 Civic Si hatch back in like 1995. It didn't last, and after few months looked horrible. I am old, and paint quality might have changed now.
I am also not a big fan of the chrome strip on the rear bumper.
However, LOVE LOVE your white wagon. My 2013 Lexus CT was white pearl with the same interior color as yours.
I just didn't want a light interior anymore. Thus I wanted black interior, so gut stuck with Dark Grey (graphite exterior).
Love the wheels. I am going back and forth between 18s and 19s. What size tire are you thinking?
Also most wagons I see the rear wheels are sunken in and the front is flush. WIth the same offset all around, how will yours look?
I am REALLY looking forward to some pics of the real wheels on the car.

the interior is actually a vinyl wrap not paint. once its starts peeling i will just peel off. I dont mind the interior since the panels are not huge so they are just kinda color matched accents. I even did the window controls on the doors. to me it breaks up all the grey.
im thinking of getting 225/35-19 or 225/40-19. i dont like the crazy tire stretches. i had had 225 on my g35 on the stock 8.5in rim and i liked how much stretch it was.
idk how this is gonna fit on the car yet but i want to have it all flush so if i need spacers for the rear thats probably what i will do.
i plan on taking off the chrome piece on the bumper. i bought it with it there and didnt realize it wasnt stock until posting pics in here.

hello, back with an update. As i mentioned before, my headrest monitors came in but the color was way off. so here is my first shot at upholstery. i bought the correct color fabric and sewed it myself. then i wrapped the plastic to match the other pieces of my interior wrap.
here are some pics...i wish i had more experience, you can see how my stitches are so perfect but hey, it was my first time, and the round parts were a bitch to do.
