ok here's some more progress

it was a bitch re-gluing the MDX bars. had to use JB Kwik to set it for 6 minutes

there's a bunch of gaps so that would be filled in with some JB Kwik and then sanded down

hope you don't mind all the comments def (attempting to be constructive)

since the bars are cut anyway, why not go with a smaller A? you gotta refinish em anyway, might as well go balls deep

Dude Killer, did you not attempt to read my post about why cutting the bar and attaching the new A wouldn't work??

On the contrary, I would have tried to make it work with adding material, like a foam wedge and fiberglass to elongate it.

If you plan on painting everything anyways then no one would notice the difference in materials.

There is a big gap where you cut the shield to fit the BIG A, what will you use to fill that gap in?

This is cool though, it's so funny to me that you do all of these mods to your car, and slowly after 4 years people just copy what you have done:

Me-eyelids
one dude- Lexus exhaust tips
mischa- grille
Future me- hood vents
Future New Member '13 tsx- modified '09 lip

there's a gap because nothing is glued yet. its just laying on top of each other so its not fully set.

i still have my 09 bumper in the backyard and will be putting it on my 11' so i can test fit the grill to make sure mischa can reuse the tabs. from there i will start gluing it back on with epoxy and then its just a bunch of hardcore sanding.

i still have the tabs. i cut them off because the two tabs were blocking the installation of the top plate. i can try and glue the 2 tabs together

Makes me so happy to know that I got to contribute the little I did to this project to help it come out as near perfection. Of course all Labor goes to defconskylude, with out him it would have never been completed.

Can't wait to see Mischa25's TSX featured around once everything is complete.

Good job everyone!

What do you think about putting a MDX grill like this on a 2014 ILX 2.4L spd manual ? I think that would look nice.
