2016 ilx tuning
Who else is sitting around waiting on a company to code the new 2016 ecu? I've called around many k series tuning companies and no one seems to have interest in diving into the ilx.
KTUNER is the only company that has showed interest but they are in Arizona and I'm on the east coast, they are looking for a loaner/test car. They offered to ship me their equipment and take logs while they adjust via email but I haven't bitten the bullet yet.

Probably won't happen. Build the car in other ways first while you wait. If they do, it will be in about 3 years, decide then.

Isn't it lol. Thanks though

Could try nitrous and exhaust then, while you wait. Just don't do a huge shot. Should be fine. Just wait till you have some miles on it, the car is pretty new.
I was looking at doing nitrous. Since I'm in Nazifornia, I have to keep CARB legal as possible, or at least as easy to beat as possible. Right now with bolt-ons, I can simply take off the header, drive for a week or so, and pass. And I can have nitrous lines running, just not turned "on", which I can adjust that at the same time I switch out the header with stock downpipe. Also looking at doing the CT Supercharger if it gets CARB-legal. Then I could run different MAPS on Hondata. I'll have one tune with the header on, and one without. Probably as deep as I would go. Anymore would just be too WAY too much rework. I WOULD be VERY tempted to get the VitViper aftercooler, go E-85, bigger injectors, and a smaller pulley that could get me up to 400hp....
If you go with this kit, you can actually use intake and header. SICK whine.

Also if you want more boost out of the ct charger you can use a k20z1 crank pulley, it under drives the crank and has an oem harmonic balancer, that's good for 2 psi increase also stiffens up the steering better.

The only way to get to forced induction support is to support the platform first. We have had K24 Sis in testing, there's even a turbo V6 Accord running around on KTuner.

What he said. I see a lot of ILX owners begging for tuner support but none are willing to spend money until someone else does.
I wouldnt have done half the things to my car if I took that approach.

The only option I have come to find is a stand alone ecu, but I am not willing to spend the 2k+ to get my brand new 2015 completely rewired to have total control of engine management but also have all the components in the car still work. For that kind of money ill wait and see what comes out and hopefully like with most things technological a cheaper easier solution will present itself.

I haven't denied any ILX inquiries, so I'm not sure you've inquired with KTuner. Feel free to send another email in so I can find our previous correspondence.

That is not a denial or "no" response. Yes, please send another email.

sorry the denial came on Hondata's end i posted on their forums and they shared a similar response as your email and gave a pretty solid No in saying " At this point we probably will not support that ECU." and another admin posted "I'm sorry, but there is nothing currently planned for this. We may look at it more in the future." ( this was in March)
email is sent.

I'm kicking the idea of using the head and supporting goodies from the CTR when parts are available, because...
