Exhaust

Would anyone be interested in possibly having us create an exhaust line for the TLX? We would possibly be working to get the exhaust tips visible as well..

I would love to see some sort of axle back setup with visible tips for the V6. Tip shape should compliment the car.

PLEASE, what ever you make, don't make it stupid loud. Increase the growl on acceleration, and maybe a slight increase in db's otherwise. Something that fits the car

Bump,

so its time, it will work just like we have done for the 3rd and 4th gens. We will have a presale while they're being made, and after about 4 months they will be released. Give or take.

We say 4 months because by the time we get the design down, then installed on a car and make sure its what we want, production goes into place. We will make sure its something that will be desirable, like we have done in the past.

Only thing we ask if you have faith in us, but im wondering, what if visible exhaust tips can't be done? Im sure we can get something visible, but if we can't, would people still be interested?

We are still in talks, right now we just jumped into the TSX 09-14 and TLX is next. We are at the drawing board on how we can get tips visible.

We will have some updates shortly.

Attachment point will be perhaps displaced (that isn't critical). IMHO.

I'd be interested but my concern would be that not cutting into the bumper would cause the muffler/tips to be to close to the ground with any decent drop.

Either way, keep us updated!

If these guys want a Chicagoland TLX to use for a week to fab up the exhaust.. heck I'll get a rental and let them cut into my bumper, I don't care in the least. Boring out plastic is simple, I would LOVE to be the first TLX in the world with an exhaust.

So many people are afraid of modding.. I'm just not, my car before this was a 2004 RSX type S that I turboed with most of the wrench work done on my own. I love it.. modding a car makes a relationship between you and your car, because you learn everything about it. I'm hopefully installing the first true cold air intake on our cars next weekend (too cold for it this weekend).

All I know is the more you do to your car, the more you love it. I am a moder at heart, will always be.. I just can't wait to see what companies like this can do for our awesome TLX.

As much as I agree, some places won't just do that because lets say it doesn't work out - now they owe you a bumper..

We are thinking of ways to get the exhaust visible...

Just so you know me.. I cut my previous bumper with a Dremel and lived with it to have a 4 inch exhaust for my turbo back.. it gets to a point in time where you realize that performance takes appearance away. Just saying I will be completely on board for an exhaust for the TLX.

Vendor,

Any updates or maybe some drawing ideas for us to point you in the right direction? I don't care neither afraid to cut my bumper and install myself, we just need this to happen please. The TLX is almost perfect and aggressive until you look at the back bumper even with body kit and spoilers on. Looks like my granny's old Buick! Lol

Just thinking, but if y'all go the cut out way then a good way to idiot proof it is a cut out template and a bezel to hide any wonky cuts.

That could be an obvious statement but I ain't in the manufacturing game

^ I was thinking the same, kind of a template of cutting up like the tsx how it has a half moon thing going on. We are almost finished up with the tsx cu2 exhaust and will be 100% working in on the tlx.

Is there any TLX in California that wouldn't mind lending their car? PM me..PS, this car does leave with a free exhaust...only thing is it needs to be an affluent person, go to shows, etc to help with promotion...even posting every now and then and sending me some good videos works for me.

We plan on pulling in a car soon, but question - is there more FWD or AWD TLX's? Also, our systems are dyno proven and LIFETIME warranty.

I think we will start with the FWD, then AWD or both if there is interest in both.

Are you mainly making the exhaust for the v6 engine?

We are going to bring in the 6 cyl fwd first. Then once that and the j pipe is made bring in the 4 cyl and see if it fits as well. Then after all of that go to awd possible with interest.
