Spoon rigid collars
Have any of you cu2 dudes install rigid collars from spoon sports? From what I gathered, it supposed to give the car better handling. Curious to know if anyone has them installed.

this isnt a crack at you, iselfdevi, but remember to explain yourself and give plenty of details to your post.
this helps readers.
if you simply linked a youtube video about rigid collars, you'd get better answers.
I had to go look up what Rigid collars were.

Haven't done it, and don't intend to as you'll have to drop subframe to do this and I don't have the tools/patience to do this. That and, they're not particular cheap for the amount of material/mod you get. Mind you, I've only heard great things about this mod, so I can only assume great things to come for the CU2 platform too.

If you're really interested, I say go for it and give us a review! This is probably something I'd get a shop to do if I had a 6MT and wanted even more out of my car . I honestly don't think you'll have any negative feedback about this mod, other than maybe cost for what you get in terms of tangible materials.

Lol yeah I seen that video. Spoon is meticulous and has a great reputation no doubt, which is why they're really the only ones to offer these rigid collars. I'm guessing no other company can make a set simply because the whole design has been patented to the book. I only wish Spoon made some CU2-specific stuff. The CL7/9 Spoon front bumper absolutely changes the entire look of that car for the better (IMO).

As for the compatibility, I don't know for sure which one fits. But I've seen it on rhdjapan and they say it fits the CU2. Maybe even seen it on heeltoeauto. If you're interested, do a quick search there and you should find what you're looking for. BTW, rhdjapan is the parent company of bidjdm where I found you your exhaust cover, so no worries there #jdmisbestbro

This thread has already got me thinking... It may not seem like a lot of material/cost, but this goes the same for a lot of aftermarket products we buy I.e. Flashpro, sway bars etc. We are paying for the r&d that spoon sports puts into their products which have spoken for themselves through the years. Mind you they do think very highly of their products but for good reason.. I haven't been able to find one set specific to our chassis (just like most unique mods for cu2's), but I am very curious to know if the cl9 set is interchangeable or if anyone has tried this as well.. If you have cheap access to a lift and proper tools it seems like a pretty cost effective mod.. For me it's more about the OCD in me knowing that my subframe could be aligned so perfectly with the chassis. The concept seems logical enough.. Has anybody else watched the video where the Prius has a set put in and tested... Lol a Prius?!
